Best decision in your life. You just avoided losing 10 hours of your life and being totally wiped by a bear, lol.

LoL - obviously you have a serious skill issue.

I killed the bear single handedly and was also completely suprised and caught off completely unguarded by him.

What exactly does he do that makes you lose it completely over these forums?

He's only about slowly walking towards you to then do his straight run attack, which you can strafe easily by just dodging left or right.

As soon as he lands he doesn't attack for a window of 2-3 seconds, which you can use to fight him back with melee attacks or ranged. Barely had a single scratch coming off the fight, and he only destroyed one building until I realized what was going on.

The fight is 100% hit and run videogame standard. Very embarassing how you come out with no skill at all over these forums tbh. :steamfacepalm:
Emme...babe. This isn't a FromSoft game, honey. Go talk about your Souls Game skills in a different forum.

Hey everyone - server settings/difficulty levels have been highly requested and are being looked into! Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks, cant wait for pacifist mode.

Yes please. I prefer my challenge to come from the elements. I really don't need the double dipping as a gear check.
I figured it out, I can play but I hate how rushed it feels knowing invasions are coming. Gotta build fast.

Great. Although I need raids because without them I would loose purpose to build defenses and strong tribe. But adjustable settings are always a good decision.

Guys, please add possibility to block/parry with weapons only and fix raining inside buildings. That's my two biggest issues with the game. The whole rest is very nice.

I don't mind raids i wish they were a bit later after the player has their footing so to speak.. my first raid i barely had anything and only two npcs..

If you do not design a game to suit different player types (skill types *and* allowing the player to play the game they way they want to) the player base will dwindle pretty quickly.
Thanks, this is what the game needs, something for those of us that play solo, or play with friends, either way. It has no bearing on anyone else, no one should care how I play the game, and neither do I care how others play the game. I'm honestly going to shelve this one for a while as a solo player.
Solo play is rough and that invasion is to much for the amount of crap you have to build amount of materials needed to do anything huge waste of time, No fun getting steam rolled every time you start to inch ahead a little.
Since it is Early Access, it is not surprising that there are many things missing for players.
You bought this game knowing it was Early Access, but it is not mature to complain.

In the single player mode, it seems that the strength of the raiders depends on the number of fellow NPCs.
I currently have 3 fellow NPCs, but I handle the raids by myself.
In other words, it is the same as easy mode.

Even if there was no ability to adjust the difficulty level, I would not want to lose the opportunity to play an interesting game.
As long as the game developer has a strong intention to complete the game, the developer should be free to release an Early Access game, no matter what stage it is at.

We should make requests, not complaints, for Early Access games.
I like options to configure games. So I support the request for options.
Back to the problem: I play it solo and I learned how to to, this is a normal process I guess, and in the end neither invasions nor bears are real problems. Just learn to handle those events like you learn to manage other stuff in the game.

Maybe a village simulator without combat is something you would like instead.

Nah I just want a well balanced game like Enshrouded, dont need server settings, just no base wiping mechanic

this is funny because Enshrouded has the settings that people are asking for here and not forced to play a certain way. Medieval Dynasty even has custom settings.
i like the game but being a solo player i dont even get settlers which sucks because that is one of the main attractions of the game to me. no settlers not as strong raids and you just have to rebuild a few buildings , also dont have to have 50 settlers gathering food because they eat after just one bar disappears from either food or water. its a good game just needs some major balancing in the game itself plus options in the settings menu for customized settings for individual play styles.

I second the settings options. But i would really rather not have peace mode in a 7 days to die style game. However to be enjoyable there needs to be mount and blade / bellwrigth kinda army controls unless i havent seen those yet but the villagers are way too dumb yet to let them do it on their own.
have they significantly changed invasions in the past 5-6 months? they are a joke so far. 3 winters in and playing as a 4 man group and 2 of us camp the portal as the mobs spawn and wipe the entire invasion before they go more than 10 feet. do they actually become difficult at some point because the difficulty did not meet our expectations when given 25 days to prepare
