Food Production - How to get something to cook?
So I build the BBQ and I managed to collect some fish, but it takes quite long to even get one fish and then I have to "harvest" it too, which only gives one raw fish!
Are all my villagers going to have to survive on berries and onions alone?
I haven't seen a single deer but even if I had, if it gives one small meat, I would be constantly hunting.
Can I not send villagers hunting somehow? Or Fishing?

You will gain access to the fishing hut & hunters hut in the game. These should unlock pretty fast in terms of progression. Once you have those you can assign villagers there to do do the hunting and fishing for you. If you assign a villager to work on the BBQ above the fire (if you have that upgrade built). That person can cook the food when told what to cook. But yes, in super early game they will have to survive from what the gatherers bring in.

You are telling me out of 10 people, you had 7 charged with food production and it wasn't enough? Kind of hard to believe, though I do wonder myself, how many Villagers I need to assign to food production to keep up with the demand.
I miss some statistics. Aska feels really like a city building game (more like Manor Lords) but instead of a top down view, it is in First Person.
But then I would have expected access to more information on production and consumption.

right now i literally have 23 villagers 4 hunters and one guy to cook at the cookhouse keeps up pretty good also tip on handling the hunters hut: DONT IGNORE MEAT CHUNKS KEEP THEM ON HIGH OR YOU WONT GET ANY RAW MEAT INCOME
i ran into that problem earlier today i had meat chunks at 0 thinking they would butcher the meat while hunting and i was WRONG so put both meat catagories on high and theyll cut when they need meat

2 cooks in a hut and 1 on bbq with 1 hunter 1 fish 3 farmers 2 gatherers seems to be more than plenty food for the 35 or so i have currently especially with a warehouse to keep raw stocks high to for no down time
You can manage when the cooks work, as in nightshift and dayshift, they will continuously produce food. Same thing with everything else btw. Some villagers have traits to work better in the night.
