KEYBINDING
One of the most important things for games is the ability to rebind our keys. I for 1 need to rebind movement keys due to finger issues and do so for every game I buy. I simply don't buy any games that don't allow it and unfortunately some of these game I would REALLY love to buy. I see there are some keys that can be changed but not the main movement keys. Other than this, the game videos look great, but I cannot play it yet & wish I could. Cheers Devs. EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE THAT I WAS WRONG ABOUT KEYBINDINGS.

Considering I'm left handed, if there is no keybindings, not going to buy.

What HDL said. In every game the first thing I do is change my keys from wasd to the arrow keys. I know you can change them as I did already.

I am so sorry, I think I mixed this up with the other game I was evaluating. This game I meant to ask if there is a 1st person view. Sorry Devs also. MY MISTAKE.

Just for noting, there is a bug with this. When you go in to ground leveling mode for a new structure with non standard movement keys (eg. ESDF instead of WASD), the display defaults to Q/E for rotation, and you can no longer move. For larger structures, you can no longer level the entire area and have to dismantle. Pretty much can't build early pits etc.

I just picked this up on Steam sale and ran in to this issue immediately. Will put the game on hold for a bit until they hopefully fix hard coded keybinds. This is sadly becoming a far more common issue with games lately. Never had problems like even 10 years ago remapping games to ESDF.

Are binding to E, S, D, and F still a problem?

Yes. They added the ability for you to remap movement as requested, but some things are still hard coded, causing some problems. Mostly in menus, sometimes the controls go back to wasd for movement through menus. If you run over a piece of gear in the environment, equip is hard coded to E. It's getting there, but not quite all the way there yet. It's playable as ESDF right now though.
