Will there be self hostable dedicated servers?

I haven't tried the server for this game yet, but have hosted dozens of other games. In all those cases you can use SteamCMD with anonymous login and you don't need another purchase to run it.

They're working on fixing this DRM problem.

For me its not only a dedicated server for me tbh its a linux variant of it or its nothing for me i dont gonna do any game server with a stupid workaround for .exe files to work on linux anymore

+1 for me as well. NO .... I am not going to run it in WINE either.

Well i managed to create a dedicated server with the same account using one of my Vmware machines, installed steam, install aska server (used steamcmd), then put the dedicated steam account in offline mode. run the server and then u can connect from you normal machine!!

Hi, is this vr ware machine a separate micro pc? Like raspberri pi? Or a laptop? I'm new to this really. Thank you.

I have dedicated servers, you can use anothetr PC to run the server! Don't think a raspberry will work tho!!!

Correct, as long as the machine running the server is up and running!

why is cpu usage 50% on 10 core cpu very demanding in cpu usage seems this server

Same as a lot of others here. I run a bunch of dedicated gaming servers (Teamspeak, Conan, Valheim, 7 Days To Die, Insurgency, DayZ, PalWorld, and Team Fortress 2... just to name a few) and several users have already asked me about setting up an Aska server. I told them at the moment I am waiting to hear if it will be possible, so they may want to hold off purchasing if they are only interested in dedicated servers versus P2P. Fingers crossed Aska gets dedicated server ability.

Why not let the devs finish the game before harassing them with dedicated server request ;)
I am very much looking forward for a full release to start a long term game with some friends.
Just based on the early access, this game has a game of the year potential in my eyes.
