Physics and general feedback
When I saw the trailer for this game, I thought it looked really cool. A lego game that actually focuses on building!

When I tried out the demo, the first thing I felt was that the physics don't feel like lego, the weight and connection I expect from a real life brick isn't there. For some reason the connections just softly break under pressure they wouldn't. It was disapointing to find it more 'bridge constructor but the pieces look like lego bricks' than 'solving puzzles using lego building'. I also feel like the controls aren't as intuitive as something like Stud.io or LDD.

Another thing I feel is lacking is the creativity or option to approach things in different ways. I feel like Lego is about coming up with inventive solutions/ideas but this is "build bridge in this outline" without much option for creative variation. The helicopter build was a nice exception and I hope more of the game is like this.

The overworld stuff, I really enjoyed. The dialogue is funny and charming, the builds are really nice and restoring a theme park sounds like it would be satisfying as you progress. I also liked the abilities you got and how it opens up more exploration possibilities. The walking controls with mouse or WASD could be a little awkward and I found myself getting stuck on terrain a little bit but I generally really liked this part of the demo.

Lego is amazing at producing lego "games" where everything looks like Lego while at the same time nothing feels like Lego.

Lego games should be about creativity and construction.

If you view the Developers website, you'll see they focus almost entire on bridge building simulators. I don't know how LEGO chooses who they license to make their various games but this is a great example of a gaming company who focuses on a specific niche suddenly having to try something new and rely on a popular brand to get attention.

Same here, was building the first bridge, but that's not how lego physics work at all, they really should reconsider the way gravity / connections / etc work now

Why do you think that Physics is unrealistic? Actually forces are computed with sophisticated mathematics and a realistic physics model is used. Brick-Physics is a really complex topic, and sometimes results are counter-intuitive yet still realistic.
There is one thing though that needed some adjustment to procude fun puzzles. LEGO bricks in real life are very robust and stable. They can absorb a lot of force before actually breaking. So we had to make the robot and the vehicles pretty heavy to account for that.

Well, for example the first bridge puzzle (after the four fuses):
If you place a 2x4 block so that the longer side is going over the chasm, and start the robot, the robot rolls through the 4 spaces(?) and then it stays there. The lego block does not tilt down under the weight of the robot, nothing.
In reality if you build a bridge with those pieces, the lego pieces 'sink' a bit before the bridge collapses for any reason most of the time. I miss the rotation physics, and that is why I see them as unrealistic.
