Organize fields / crops + honey
So far a really lovely game! What I did not understand yet / like:
The production of honey. How many flowers for one bee home, grown or not, how near? Organizing the fields is a struggle cause you can not temporarly store them. Means if you have not much space place left it is tetris. And it would help to have a little plant icon once you grab a field, to see what your are moving. How do you achieve honey?

Ok so flowers can be grown anywhere on your farm (including in a greenhouse) and still be accessed by bees. You need at least one patch of flowers per hive. The more flower patches, and the more types of flowers, the faster the honey is produced. So early on it's best to have 1-2 hives, and 2-4 patches of flowers (of different sorts) or more for faster honey.

I can't help with the field organisation though I'm afraid. Once one has the expanded vegtable patch, things get easier, but early on it's a challenge to fit everything you need in.

Thanks a lot for your help! The problem is different sorts of flowers I guess. I had 6 beehives and 8 flower plots, but only one sort of flower. For a better organization I had to destroy 2 of 4 compost piles, now I have to decide what I wanna - a bigger garden first, or the ranch. For what would you go for?

There are a number of very helpful guides in the 'Guides' section. This one in particular has good information about bees & honey production that should answer most if not all of your questions:

From my experience, you don't need more than one beehive.
Especially in the early game. Put 4-6 beds of flowers (2-3 of each type), and you will get a pot of honey daily. Putting more beehives drastically slows down the process.

Oh, never look at the situation that way. I will try it! More space for crops and faster honey. Cause the 4 beehives with 8 flowers are pretty slow, need round about 6 days O_O
