See making that recipe vegan is possible in game (with soy milk I believe). And sometimes the food tags get muddled for some reason. I remember doing a big stack of milkshakes with milk from my cows, out of a hundred, 2-3 were vegan for some reason. I don't think the game always tracks ingredients as well as it's meant to.
