Hey,

Unfortunately, after years of efforts to create a new quality in Tabletop RPG adventure creation tools, we must relinquish our arms and give up. Another long rest won't happen, and our team has fallen under the weight of the difficulty of creating such a unique project. Sadly, the bureaucracy dealt us the final blow.

As you may remember, early last year, we announced that we had received a research grant. At that time, we increased the team's staffing and scope, but the program turned out to be a farce—we received a fraction of the funds, which, due to bureaucratic problems, they wanted to take away from us even though we were and are carrying out research work.

The budget spent on the project has long since exceeded what we raised at the crowdfunding, and the reliance on the research program was a mistake. A mistake that we could not have anticipated - after all, we were starting cooperation with a supposedly serious entity financed by the state. A lot of delays, too, were due to bureaucratic problems with the program, which at the start appeared to support innovative ventures, and in the end, for us and dozens of other companies in our country, it turned out to be what buried our initiatives.

We very much regret that the course of cooperation with the grantor has led to the need to decide to terminate the project. We understand that this may have been disappointing for you, and we sincerely apologize for letting you down.

Due to business circumstances, we have to close the Never Ending Dungeon project and probably will declare Spellarena's formal bankruptcy.

We would like to thank you for your trust, your time, the wonderful contact throughout the production process, the mass of valuable feedback, and everything in general. If we raise enough funds, we will return to creating Never Ending Dungeon, but now, the NED party is disbanded.

We look forward to the possibility of meeting again in better times. Thank you for being part of our journey.

We will also not be maintaining our Discord server - we will be suspending its operation within the next few hours.

What a scam

Very disappointed... They really screwed up when they suddenly pivoted towards the AI aspect a year in and away from what they initially advertised - an easy to use dungeon/map maker that allowed users to draw/edit areas that would be auto-populated with default assets according to theme.

When the product finally launched, the main complaint was that we couldn't do that at all. Instead we were forced into AI generated maps with an accompanying story. Not what they advertised in the beginning and not what people wanted in the end.

Just another example of AI frenzy making products worse.

Really sad. I was hyped, when I backed the Kickstarter back then ... and got more and more confused when I saw what we got over the years ... they should have stayed on course ... now my money's gone ... never going to back anything on Kickstarter again other than Board Games from well known companies ...

Again: Really sad. This thing could have been great.
