It's better to DISABLE it when using a Dualsense controller.
Here is an example list:
- The enforcer is supposed to have two levels of pressure, each one fires a shot.
Steam Input enabled: there is only ONE level of pressure. Only a full trigger press fires the weapon.
Steam Input disabled: the two different levels of pressure WORK, and each one fires its own shot.
- The shatterbomb aiming should engage when light pressure, and fires when pushing through the resistance.
Steam Input enabled: doesn't work, no levels of pressure enables the aiming.
Steam Input disabled: works, the aiming is enabled when pressing lightly, and the bomb is fired with a full trigger.
- The burst pistol has two fire rate speeds associated with two levels of pressure. The first level is slow fire, the full pressure is rapid fire.
Steam Input enabled: doesn't work, there's only one level of pressure, and there's only rapide fire, end of story.
Steam Input disabled: works, the two levels of pressure are there, the first one fires slowly, the second one fires rapidly.
Special note: with steam input enabled (= limited features + features not working) the game was STILL hinting me on those features.
For instance, the game was telling me to light press the trigger for aiming with the bomb.
I was trying and trying and trying, and it didn't work.
(This is the thing that caused me to disable steam input for testing, and it fixed the issue.)
OG launch DualSense that came with my PS5. I've paired it via Windows bluetooth settings and played the game normally. I haven't had to configure anything on Steam or in game to get the DualSense to operate wireless with all functionality working like it did on the PS5.
cable attached:
-steam input enabled
-steam input disable
wireless:
-steam input enabled
-steam input disabled
would be informative to know the results of each of these
Can confirm this game supports DuelSense wirelessly. Using steam input as well.
On my end:
- Steam input ENABLED + cable = Steam input ENABLED + bluetooth
In both cases, the adaptive triggers do "work" but with limited features, and the issues that I've stated in a previous message.
Bluetooth and wired feels the same, I have the same bomb issue both with cable and bluetooth for instance.
- Steam input DISABLED + cable = Steam input DISABLED + bluetooth
In both cases, the adaptive triggers has full functionality.
The multiple levels of pressure, the bomb aiming with a light press, all of those work.
I've switched from wired to bluetooth, both seems to behave the same, at least as far as the adaptive triggers are concerned.
# DISABLING STEAM INPUT makes the adaptive triggers BETTER + FIXES ISSUES.
