Hoping it'll run well
My specs:
i7-6700
GTX 1660ti 6GB
16GB RAM
Windows 10
1080p monitor

Played both Spider-Man games with average 45-50fps on the map, 60fps in linear areas on medium settings and FSR 2.0 enabled, so I trust Nixxes to deliver great optimization once again.
I mostly worry about CPU temperature, but my CPU survived poorly-optimized games before so it should be fine?
Hope it'll run at 1080p/60fps, since R&C is usually more linear.

It won't. It is time to upgrade. I'm on really old hardware as well.

i5 8600k OC'd
GTX 1080Ti
16gb Ram

And my major problem is that I am on a 1440p monitor. And I refuse to play at 1080p. If I can get anything around 50fps, I will be surprised.

Your PC seems fine, the minimum cards are 4 GB cards, plus the minimum CPUs are 4-core with no multi-threading.

I do understand the concern over CPU temps, as my last laptop would go nuclear unless I capped FPS in most games. If you want to see how to manually lower the maximum clock speed for your CPU, here's an archived Reddit thread on how to do so in Windows:

It will run well. Don't listen to people telling you otherwise. They are salty PS5 owners who are mad that almost every PS5 exclusive is coming to PC.

With those stone age specs it'll be better just to get a PS5 lol

Lol no it won't. Go try and run any modern AAA game on those potato specs, it'll look and run like ass.

I'm here with a 1650 lol.. Hoping to at least get 30fps, 1080p on low

i'm just wondering how this game well work with slower loading hard drives i'm still using a 7200rpm hard disk on my 5 year old comp the rest of the parts should be fine for medium settings as long as i keep the rez under 2k

Focus more on system RAM. You can easily compensate for a slow HDD with a decent amount of system RAM. If you've got at least 16GB of RAM (preferably 32GB). You should be fine overall. Just temper expectations with resolution and GPU-sensitive settings.

Those specs are enough for 1080p60, what OP is expecting to get.

like i said rest of the parts should be fine just the hard drive.. have 4x8gb 32gig SDRAM DDR4 3466 and for a cpu AMD RYZEN 7 2700 8-Core 16 thread 3.2 GHz - game mode off so runs cool even under heavy load

As for a video card a ill fated MSI Radeon RX 580
Boost Clock 1366 MHz ,Stream Processors 2304
Memory Memory Clock 8000 MHz Size 8GB vram

Still a 5 year old comp i'l need a new video card with in the next 2 years probably get a ssd at that time want one with at least 3-4 tb of space just don't want to brake the bank to get ether part.

Thanks for the answers. Looks like my PC will be safe for this, so I'm buying the game.

On a further note, I also have an old 2TB HDD, and yeah, the drawback from not having an SSD is mostly regarding loading times and stutter, but it's not a deal-breaker.
I'll probably get one by the time I'll upgrade my PC.

there seems to be a typo in the minimum specifications. it says it runs on a gtx 960 which is a 114 gb memory bandwidth card. the gtx 660 is a 144 gb memory bandwidth card. if the game was tested on a gtx 960 thats great. that means it will run on just about anything. but for example the specifications for sonic frontiers recommend a gtx 1070 while ratchet and clank rift apart recommend an rtx 2060. if thats just because of ray tracing thats actually pretty impressive. but the minimum requirements for ratchet and clank rift apart seem quite low. in fact I was thinking of buying it because I could play assetto corsa which uses a gpu with the same memory bandwidth.

I know its laughable for me to say this but from playing it on ps5 ratchet and clank rift apart definetly requires an ssd. Although the level of optimization that nixxes may have done is awe-inspiring.

I have a question.

Do you guys think I could run the game at 1440p with medium setting with a Ryzen 5 3600 and an RTX 3070?
edumacacion Jul 21, 2023 @ 4:20pm
definetly as long as you don't enable ray tracing you should be fine.
