Are you using DS4Windows or some other "DualSense-to-XInput" emulator? If so, what happened yesterday was that Steam/the game managed to "capture" the real DualSense before the XInput emulator could hide it.
If you want adaptive triggers and DualSense button prompts, simply disable DS4Windows/the XInput emulator.
If that doesn't fix it, then select Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in your Steam library, click on the gamepad icon on the right to open Steam Input's configurator, and either...
- Make sure that Steam Input is disabled for this game, or...
- If Steam Input is enabled, make sure that the layout uses the game's "game actions" instead of emulating Xbox buttons. (E.g. have Cross bound to "Jump" rather than an Xbox "A".) You can change the "Current Button Layout" option to "Recommended" > "Official Layout for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - Official Configuration" to accomplish this.
