If the Nvidia update didn’t fix this, it must be an issue with the port on Nixxes’ end. Hard to believe that vram is the issue
Thats NORMAL.
I don't want to go into too much detail but I'll explain it briefly:
As you move and look around, each new line of sight is calculated "on the fly". If you stand still then the load of generating movement "on the fly" decreases and the fps increase.
Why is this way better with DirectStorage disabled tho? I don’t get arbitrary frame drops just from slightly moving the camera with nothing going on in the field of view with DS disabled, only happens when it’s on
How do we disable DirectStorage?
Remove or rename the two DirectStorage files in the games folder
Sounds like a ♥♥♥♥ game to me, why other games dont drop FPS while looking around? Game just feels broken
No freezes or stutters when jumping through the rift portals. Haven't removed the DS files and I'm on the Nvidia Hotfix. I did have 1 second stutters when hitting the rift crystals when trying to get to that drill thingy by riding rails in the campaign.
Also still getting FPS drops when using the Enforcer mostly, Blast Pistol is more or less better. Also the FPS drops aren't as severe as before which dropped me down to the 30s, now it's just to the low 50s but it's still noticeable.
