Which Ratchet game or Ratchet & Clank do you think had the best weapon selection and/or armor?

Personally, I think Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando had the best-looking armor available out of every title, which was the Carbonox armor for me. The silver one with the red glowy-bits and the RoboCop visor. :P

As for weapons, Ratchet Deadlocked (or Gladiator in EU) had the best weapon selection for me. A lot of them were really cool, and I believe that was the first and only game out of them all to push weapon levels up to 100. That was pretty intense.

I have only the third ("Up your arsenal" ? it was only Ratchet and Clank 3 on the box) and Gladiator/Deadlocked.

For me, the best looking armor are from Gladiator/Deadlocked. Special mention to the "liberator armor" for Player 2.
A thing I didn't like in UYA was that with the last armor, your face was completely covered and it was a waste of face animation (only a costume called "special agent Ratchet" was available to keep the face, but the silly mustache/hair/glasses kill cinematics for me).

For the guns, I can't choose a single title (I saw many walkthrough). If I had to pick three, it would be the Dual Viper/Dual Raptor from Gladiator, the Shotgun from UYA (first weapon received) and the RYNO III (or TELT III for the french), level one or two (I like the based rocketlauncher, but not the flashy thing it become at the end).

I remember really liking the dual double-barreled lacerators and big laser beam in SM. My favorite weapons have always been the ones that summon little robots or turrets, just tossing them down and focusing on dodging while they do the hitting.

In my opinion Ratchet & Clank 3 has the best and most interesting weapon roster. Every weapon is viable, unlike Going Commando where you had the weapons from the first game and the clank zapper which were not useful.

As for armor, I would say that the system from SIze Matters is an interesting idea. You can combine different armor pieces together to create different effects

The arsenal of the 3 was pretty large. The only ones I dislike were the shield-launching glove (because of the more useful personnal shield we got later), the "infector" bomb-thrower (meh), the lava/cryothrower (poor range due to gravity) and the suck-cannon (small enemy disappear quickly in the story).

Now I'm wondering if we will have the opportunity to get the armor pack DLC available on PS5.

I would say deadlocked, the dreadzone armor looks sick, and the weapons are super satisfying

hard call between going commando and up your arsenal for me, I never really played the ps3 ones and kind of lost interest in playing the one I did. I can still go back and play the ps2 ones but something just lost me on the ps3 ones.

Just give me all the RYNO II ammo.

You should seriously check out Tools of Destruction and a Crack in Time, both are fantastic games. Ratchet and Clank on PS4 was also great!
