DualSense to PC?
Game plays very well on the PS5 with the controller. I wonder if they would make it possible to play this with the PS5 controller on the PC as well to get the full experience of the game.

The PC version has full DualSense support. All DualSense features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, are functional when using a wired USB connection.

Definitely. The Dualsense works with Spider-Man on PC so it will certainly work with this game as well

Does the special haptic feedback work too on the triggers with these PS5 titles on PC? I’m actually considering buying a PS5 controller to play with this game lmao.

Why aren't the DualSense features available over bluetooth on PC, while it works great over bluetooth on PS5 for example, what makes the difference? Would be great to get a direct answer on that question from you guys that are developing the game, I searched for answers online but there is no definitive answer.

"When the DualSense controller is connected wirelessly to a PlayStation 5 (PS5) console, it uses a proprietary wireless technology developed by Sony called "DualSense wireless connectivity." This wireless connection is not based on standard Wi-Fi or Bluetooth protocols.

The DualSense wireless connectivity offers a more advanced and stable connection compared to Bluetooth. It provides lower latency and higher bandwidth, which is particularly beneficial for gaming, as it ensures a more responsive and immersive experience.

It's worth noting that when using the DualSense controller with devices other than the PS5, such as a PC or mobile device, the controller typically connects via Bluetooth. However, when used with the PS5, it utilizes the dedicated DualSense wireless connectivity for optimal performance."

This was given to me by ChatGPT. I can't really find official information about this myself so I have no idea if this is true.
I'm relatively sure they "shouldn't" speak about things like this according to Sony. But either way it has something to do with the pc bluetooth drivers of the Dualsense controller. We can really just hope Sony will care enough to release a pc specific driver update (instead of just offering all dualsense firmware updates that are available on console also on pc).

Ah! I didn't know they were using proprietary technology.

But I saw people being able to connect the Dual Sense via Bluetooth on PC?

Is there a special dongle that we can use?

I'm using "PowerA USB-C Cable" for USB Cable using Dual Sense on PC and it works PERFECTLY, but I would like to see options for bluetooth as well.

No no, it supports Bluetooth. you can connect it via Bluetooth to a pc or even a phone, but then it's not their own wireless standard but normal bluetooth. So a little more latency and stuff compared to their own standard specifically designed for gaming.

You can even use adaptive triggers via Bluetooth connection on pc if you use ReWasd for example (afaik DSX* supports it too). Then you manually set the adaptive triggers. But for some reason it doesn't appear to be possible to use it normally in a game or at least not the same way as you'd implement it with the usb drivers.
But yeah, I'd love to get a statement from e. g. the DSX or ReWasd dev team on why they can implement adaptive triggers in wireless via bluetooth mode while game devs can't.

I should add that the bluetooth dualsense pc driver and the usb dualsense pc driver are two different drivers, so they are seen as two different devices on software side. This can be seen on several games that don't even recognize Dualsense controller via bluetooth but do recognize them via usb. Sackboy A Big Adventure (playstation first party game) on pc supports pretty much all Dualsense specific features in some way over usb but the bluetooth driver isn't even recognized at all as any input device whatsoever.

Also, I'd suggest you go into your Steam settings -> controller -> disable Playstation Controller assistant. That way your controller will be natively recognized in any game that natively supports it. And if a game doesn't detect it, just right click the game in Steam -> properties -> controller -> activate Steam Input. And it should be recognized as an generic xinput device

This is true, and it was also true for the DS4. Sony sold an adapter that used their proprietary protocol to give you its full features wirelessly but they still haven't made an adapter for the DS5
I don't use any 3rd party software yet I still have Adaptive Triggers using Bluetooth? Is this supposed to happen, lol? I'm not complaining, just curious!
I was gonna say, I was confused at first because adaptive triggers were working completely fine wirelessly for me and I thought a wire was required for that.

My controller also is almost always vibrating in some way depending on what action I'm doing. I got to the part in the game where I'm in a a club with loud music and my controller is vibrating to the rhythm of the beat very strongly. It's a cool feature. Is this confirmation of haptic feedback also working wirelessly? I've never played on PS5 so I don't know what this haptic feedback is supposed to feel like.
