Remote play and dualsense controller
I often play more demanding games by using remote play on my steam deck connected to the tv and running the game on my more powerful pc upstairs.
I've also been thinking of getting a dualsense controller, though... support for the haptic triggers is obviously almost non existent on pc games except for some ported ps5 games like this one.

I've read that features of the controller are very limited (like only full-pull firemodes and no soft-pull firemodes) when Steam Input is enabled. And I'm pretty sure Steam Input is required for Remote Play. So it would probably be fairly pointless to use a dualsense controller this way right?
And then there is also the wired/wireless discussion, but even though the game description mentions playing wired for full functionality, most topics here do seem to suggest that there is no difference between those.

Any experiences people can share with this controller combined with remote play? For this and/or other PS ported games?

I'm going to purchase this game without question after finishing up some others that i'm still playing. But i'm still a bit torn on a new controller. I like PS style controllers and the haptic triggers seem cool, but it's a bit expensive. Especially considering that I won't be able to use some of its biggest features. And I'm not really planning on getting a PS5 anytime soon. An xbox controller might be the better choice, but the swapped joystick and dpad is something that I'm not used to.

I'm currently using a Steam controller, which I also love quite a bit. (Gyro control while aiming weapons is great!) But it's starting to age a bit and I already had to manually repair both bumpers. Not everyone is a fan of the trackpads either when I have friends over for party games.
