I can tell the graphics definitely look great, I guess it’s the gameplay that I was more concerned with, since I heard that the 2016 gameplay of the remake of the original was not up to par with the 2002 classic.
Thx for clearing up the fact that the gameplay is enjoyable looking forward to trying it and comparing myself (since I never tried the 2016 version).
I'm playing through all the games atm, and yes, the classics are fantastic and still hold up. But the games just get progressively better in regards of gameplay. The original sets the bar, Going Commando takes that and ads to it, Up Your Arsenal perfects it.
The Future trilogy, plus Into The Nexus adds better graphics and story to what was done in the previous PS2 trilogy.
I wouldn't call the 2016 game a Remake, as it is not even canon. It's a one off game based on the movie, inspired by the original game. It wouldn't be fair to compare it to the 2002 title, because they are so different, but gameplay, graphics and story wise it is leagues ahead of the OG.
Rift Apart has the gameplay. It's a new game, a new story, continuing from the PS3 games. Also it has a more distinctive soundtrack once again.
Lol, just the one during the ps2 era, and then moved away from console to pc exclusively, and now am just glad am getting to enjoy console games again on the pc (both from Xbox and Sony). Considering that pcs are more expensive than consoles I refuse to spend even more to buy a console like a ps5 for just one or 2 games.
Glad many ps5 titles are making their way to pc. Looking forward to Rift Apart.
I’ve heard of the other titles too. Maybe they’ll bring “a crack in time” to steam at some point, or a larger collection of the ps2 and ps3 classics+ the 2016 version. Who knows.
Wow, you had a PC in the early oughts? There are so many of them, but I'm sure they will never bring them to PC. Look what they did to uncharted, they won't go backwards.
