Going from high to low settings gives you less than 5 frames.
One thing I noticed, planets you go to with Rivet the frames tend to go down for some reason.
That seems odd but yeah, I just tested it. Why would that be a thing?
Do they want us to unconsciously be afraid of playing as her?
sometimes dying or falling in holes will cause the frames to permanently tank.
you have to restart your game.
Looks like not enough VRAM issue, use upscaler or lower your texture quality. and remember frame generation requires more VRAM too (if you are using it ofcs).
Basically running this game with 8GB VRAM card is not ideal.
Edit : So 3080 10GB VRAM? you definitely run out of VRAM.
I've seen the same videos you most likely did from Daniel Owen, the one from IGN and of course DF but I'm not really sure if VRAM is the real issue here. I went down to 1080p, turned on DLSS and even lowered Textures to medium to try and be sure that I was not using too much VRAM and still, I got like 5 frames back.
When I got back to Sargasso my GPU usage was under 40% and CPU usage around 35%.
There is something wrong underneath the hood here and it's not all related to VRAM spillovers.
I tested this on an rtx 2060 which only had 6gbs of vram and it seem to be playable did not notice many frame drops in game and I guess it helps if you run it on an ssd and up the ram for the pc.
