How is Rift Apart compared to Ratchet and Clank 3 (Up your Arsenal)?

I feel like rift apart is empty of content. Should be able to complete everything and collect everything in around 12 hours without rushing. The arena was just a huge letdown, none of the fights are interesting or challenging, the story felt more like an afterthought. And i felt like i spent most of the time playing as Rivet (I don't have any issue with her, but i thought this was supposed to be a Ratchet and Clank game) Also 90% of the "bosses" were the exact same enemy. While i did enjoy the game overall, i kept feeling like I would rather be playing the ps2 era games, and while i wouldn't say it is a bad game i do feel that it lacks far too much content to justify it's price-tag.

Both are good, but I think my favorite game in the series is Size Matters. Though that might put me in the minority here. Story might not be the greatest, but I just really enjoyed the gameplay.

nah i agree size matters is goated. they dont make game like they used too.

Yeah it makes me sad. Wish we'd get remasters of all the classics. Like Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Spyro and so on. They were so good that it's a shame you can't really play them anymore.

Where did all this hate for Up Your Arsenal come from all of a sudden while we're at it. Pretty much all 3/4 PS2 games and the PS3 main line games are goat'd for this series it's basically why we even got this one in the first place.

The only issue with Ratchet and Clank is the themes they were darker and more serious in the PS2 era and I miss that a little bit, and even the jokes were way better.

P.S Courtney Gears boss battle is still one of the funniest and best for me, and that music too.

nah the ps4/5 r&c games are pretty bad they made this franchise way too kiddy & don't have no where near the depth or charm of the old games. its just a strafe shooter with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dialogue and music

im actually glad they left sly cooper alone because theives in time was heading the same direction and that game was terrible.

Yes I know Spyro did. It was an example as the types of games I was talking about.

I didn't mention PS4/5 games I said the 3/4 on PS2 and those 2 mainline PS3 games.

I haven't played Rift Apart, but I'll be doing so very soon.

Edit: I actually agree with the Sly Cooper thing I heard what they did to Penelope and that just turned me off of the series entirely.

It's kind of why I'm turned off from Borderlands after playing 3(that's a whole other can of worms entirely though).

personally I feel like the combat in ratchet and clank in the story is harder but not hard enough to actually kill you. the arena challenges can be tough but on your first playthrough aren't. im basing this on when I was a kid playing ratchet and clank 3 I would normally have a full multiplier never getting hit. In rift apart you have godlike powers but even then you really have to use them and you will occasionally get hit so challenge mode gets much harder. the game is a lot of fun to play the phantom dash is awesome (text virus). we need an arbitrary reason to make it return in every new ratchet and clank. I suppose the next one ratchet meets his parents with rivet so I guess there's still a reason for him to use it.
