I know why some people complain about "bad port"
So, follow me here, I always use Linux on a daily basis (Arch Linux) and I ONLY played the game on Linux since it launched, and it's always been running wonderfully without problems, I finished the game just fine and I'm in challenge mode right now at around 29% completion on the challenge mode save.

I installed Windows 11 on the other drive and tweaked it like disabling mitigations and such (I can make a whole list if you need it as a reference, because I did a lot of changes, including setting a fixed big pagefile etc.).

The game seemed to run fine on Windows at first, but I soon noticed that when shooting enemies or, more specifically, generating a lot of particles and a lot of debris at the same time while running at huge framerates, the game would start stuttering a lot.

Other than that, the game also seems to randomly crash, especially while shooting at enemies or when skipping cutscenes.

I don't intend to spit random words here, so I'll let you know that I have verified this behavior on two different systems and yes, it's the same deal.

While getting similar very high framerates on Arch Linux (maybe 5 to 10% difference at most?), the issue does not happen at all in there.

My conclusion is that the problem with people saying that this is a """bad port""" mostly comes from Windows and/or DirectX 12 being programmed by smashing something on the keyboard and using the resulting text as a hint to code them.

It doesn't happen to every single person, that's the point I'm trying to raise here.
I’ve gotten used to it, but it seems that every single new game gets these types of complaints now-a-days.

I don’t really know what to say

Hey what tweaks did you make? I also use Linux (RHEL) for work everyday but my home PC that I play games on is windows. Also by disable mitigation do you mean spectre/meltdown mitigation?

Disabled all mitigations in Windows Security
Removed all per-process mitigations in Windows Security
Switched MitigationOptions to all 22s in the kernel registry key
Set loadoptions to DISABLE-LSA-ISO,DISABLE-VBS
Disabled all security things including virtualization based security and so on
Disabled all antiviruses including Windows Defender
Set vsmlaunchtype to off and disableelamdrivers to yes
Disabled all kinds of telemetry including CEIP
Set the pagefile to be fixed (not dynamic)
Changed mouse and keyboard queue sizes to 16 (10 hex)
Disabled Spectre and Meltdown patches (FeatureSettings / FeatureSettingsOverride / FeatureSettingsOverrideMask method) by setting override and override mask to 3

Furthermore:
Set prerendered frames to 8 manually and max frames to 8 manually from NVIDIA inspector and disabled NVIDIA Reflex to try to fix the stutters
Raised the pagefile to 64 GB to try to fix the stutters
Raised shader cache to unlimited and set the allocation policy to aggressive from NVIDIA Inspector
