PC gaming sucks.

"We again see a title designed around the PS5, even with ray tracking and dlss enabled, running much closer to a 2080ti or even a 3080."

Pay 4x the price, get worse performance. Not to mention tons of bugs, stuttering, and crashes AND having to wait 2-3 years later to play LOL.

thats ok, 90% of other games on pc run laps around outdated consoles, so having a struggling console exclusive from a struggling machine with struggling code is ok.

Almost every AAA release in the past year disagrees.

Yeah, PC gaming has a lot of problems. Stuttering, crashing, bad frametimes, dodgy DRM, etc. All for the small cost of atleast a grand, and that's being generous. A lot of GPUs cost that alone, and still end up having issues. Kinda embarassing actually.

PC-gaming is out of competition in all aspects, subject to the availability of powerful hardware.
Having one machine that plays every generation of game ever made trumps every other consideration imo

Elden Ring's console version is also famously bad to the point that PS5 owners were downloading the PS4 version because it was the only good way to play the game lol

You can use your old pc to play ps4 era games, or buy one for 300$. The new ones you play on a console. Still a much much better deal.

I wonder why Sony port to PC and their associated PlayStation exclusives brigades (Square-Enix, Koei Tecmo, etc.) tend to be bad ports with issues. I wonder why. However, most other games especially Xbox games are just as good on PC as they are on an actual Xbox. Because Microsoft isn't into this exclusivity nonsense as much as Sony is and sabotaging their own ports just to make their own platform look good.

Its simple really. Sony's games target the Playstation platform. A platform that never changes. You buy a PS5 in year 7, your year one games will run perfectly fine.

Porting those games to a PC market with a wide open specification range is going to be extremely difficult. And games like Ratchet and Clank might be doing things so specific to Playstation hardware that it will cause issues on different PC setups.

Given that exclusivity has had them at the top of the console market for 25+ years, don't expect them to change anytime soon.

MS had no choice but to shift strategy cause they couldn't compete with Sony or Nintendo.

OP I disagree. PC gaming doesn't suck. The platform has its own exclusive and excellent games:
- RTS like Starcraft and upcoming Stormgate plus Age of Empires, etc.
- MMOs like WoW and others.
- a variety of indie games like Battlebit, Dave the Diver, etc.
- shooters like Valorant, CS Go, Escape from Tarkov
- MOBAs

There's tons of games on PC, big games, that never come to console.

But don't expect Console games to run well on PC, just like console ports of games like PUBG, RTS games, Planetside 2, and CS Go are inferior to their PC counterparts.

And you play most of these games on a 7-10 year old pc no problem.

Y'all posted in a troll thread about a troll video that deliberately ignores a whole host of facts to reach a pre-determined conclusion.

Let it die, just like anti-vaxx and flat earth theory, for the same reasons.

Elden ring , Wo Long, Diablo 4 didn't had any issues, tbh Diablo 4 even runs better on PC than anywhere else, what are you on lmao ?

I have it both on PS5 and PC and compared it, with all the features enabled like ray tracing occlusion etc the PS5 version looks washed out and lacking details on performance mode, even on fedility mode. Difference is really big this time... Meanwhile on my pc I get 100+ fps with upscaling methods, graphics are insane on pc, on console they are good but more mediocre especially if you can compare them directly next to eachother.

On the downside, the pc version has occasional crashes if nearing the end of the game.
Should be adressed soon
