Almost every AAA release in the past year disagrees.
Callisto Protocol, Forspoken, Last of Us, Hogwarts Legacy, Wo Long, Diablo 4, Wild Hearts, Elden Ring, to name a few.
Elden Ring's console version is also famously bad to the point that PS5 owners were downloading the PS4 version because it was the only good way to play the game lol
Its simple really. Sony's games target the Playstation platform. A platform that never changes. You buy a PS5 in year 7, your year one games will run perfectly fine.
Porting those games to a PC market with a wide open specification range is going to be extremely difficult. And games like Ratchet and Clank might be doing things so specific to Playstation hardware that it will cause issues on different PC setups.
Given that exclusivity has had them at the top of the console market for 25+ years, don't expect them to change anytime soon.
MS had no choice but to shift strategy cause they couldn't compete with Sony or Nintendo.
- RTS like Starcraft and upcoming Stormgate plus Age of Empires, etc.
- MMOs like WoW and others.
- a variety of indie games like Battlebit, Dave the Diver, etc.
- shooters like Valorant, CS Go, Escape from Tarkov
- MOBAs
There's tons of games on PC, big games, that never come to console.
But don't expect Console games to run well on PC, just like console ports of games like PUBG, RTS games, Planetside 2, and CS Go are inferior to their PC counterparts.
Let it die, just like anti-vaxx and flat earth theory, for the same reasons.
Elden ring , Wo Long, Diablo 4 didn't had any issues, tbh Diablo 4 even runs better on PC than anywhere else, what are you on lmao ?
On the downside, the pc version has occasional crashes if nearing the end of the game.
Should be adressed soon
