Fix the texture loading issue.
Spider-man had the same issue... This is clearly a bug in your software as the textures NEVER load the very high quality versions no matter how long you sit and wait..

This will be the last time I buy a Nixxes port of a game that has this issue.

No it's not a VRAM issue... I have a 4090 with 24GB.

You've heard about "vram", but you don't understand how it works and how software works. Throwing slogans out there and pretending everything's fine is not a solution. There is no reason why the game wouldn't shuffle textures around and raise the resolution. The only reason why it doesn't is poor coding.

Why, because you said so? There aren't any texture issues.

Sure.

DF reported on it.
Nick930 reported on it.
Tons of other people reported on it.
It's literally one of the first things in the "unofficial known issues" thread.

Personally i have a 4090 using same setting, quality dlss and the issue show sometimes. With DLAA i don't have anymore.

edit : you should try DLAA xD 4090 is too comfortable for DLSS in fact
That image is from Digital Foundry.. and it doesn't matter whether you use DLSS or not.

The statements of DF are not a law. Alex always uses an intel CPU (12900k) and an nVIDIA GPU (4090).

Errors that occur in this combination do not have to apply to AMD+nVIDIA combinations. and vice versa.

I also had the problem that the included DLSS caused enormous jitter after a while. An exchange with the new DLSS DLL 3.1.30 eliminates the problem (for me)

so the statement "DF said that" is a little vague

btw. I ONCE had the case that the highres texture wasn't loaded properly, after I switched off nVIDIA reflex, it never happened again.

DLSS should have nothing to do with stutter and jitter. That's just bad coding of a game not initially made to work with nVidia technology.
Having to switch off things like nVidia reflex shouldn't be necessary either.

If the game has issues even on such obvious pcconfigutarion as 12900 and 4090 shows how poor beta-testing was performed. I would hardly call that combination "obscure". Yes, there are some weird PCs out there, but if the game was not tested on 4090, I guess all tests were performed in a form of thought experiments.

i have a rtx 4090 and the issue appears with or without dlaa. its only for some textures and you only find it if you know it but its there on any system out there. look for some textures and if you find one, lower your texture ssettings to normal and go back to very high. it works for a couple of minutes, after the patch it took me 30 minutes to recognizes such textures.

Deleting the Directstorage DLLs in the game folder fixed this issue for me as well as the stutters and terrible fps dips when moving the camera around. The catch with this though is you get slightly longer load times (noticed it myself with the game installed to a PS5 equivalent NVMe drive), longer hitches between rifts (this one is very noticeable), and about 5-10% less performance. Very worth it imo. Using Max settings (no RT besides max RTAO) at native 4K, I went from getting 90-95 fps average with 50-70 fps lows and missing high quality textures, to 85-90 fps average but lows never dipping below 75-80 fps and proper high quality textures after disabling directstorage.
