Infinity falling after cut scene

I am at the second time you are heading to Savali. After the cut scene where you load into the level, I am falling forever. If I look up I can see some rocks and my ship, but it is always out of reach. I can land on a small group of islands and each one has what looks like an inactive rift. If I let Ratchet fall he will eventually despawn, I can still look and shoot but nothing else happens. It's just the sky box of the stars that was shown in the cut scene. My game sadly wasn't auto saving in new slots so I only have one save. Validating my game or uninstalling does nothing. My graphics are 'now' at the very lowest possible. I am out of ideas. I don't want to restart, but it might be the only option I have.

One thing to keep in mind is that my game crashed during the cut scene the first time i scene it. After that time it has always been the endless void.

i9-9900K
RTX 3080
32G RAM
NVMe

Edit: Good news, My save is fixed. I am not quite sure why.

All I know is that when I tried to reload the save it sent me back to a different planet. Like it knew something was bugged and sent me back to a different save I didn't have access to.

I just uninstalled/reinstalled, reset my pc and played with the graphic settings again. Idk what changed from the first and second time trouble shooting.

Always make your own manual saves.

I have, it's like 5 seconds long. It only shows the ship flying toward the planet, and then it starts loading the level but in my case nothing happens.

I am facing the same than you in the same spot.. I also had the crash during the cutscene the first time I saw it and now just after the ship is going to Savali, Ratchet is falling endlessly. Right now, reloading my save doensn't work. I guess I have no choice to try to reinstall the game now.

You might be having a problem with nvidia aio or reflex

I have been having constant crashes since yesterday's hotfix which also coincided with me reaching Savali, along with strange glitches like Ratchet suddenly jerking up and down violently while using the rocket boots and buggy LOD transitions close to Ratchet despite using the Ultra setting. On one occasion this jerking up and down glitch caused him to clip below the ground falling into the void below and triggering what was my first crash. I have 6 or 7 thereafter. The recent crashes no longer bring up the error reporter window but instead just dump me straight back to the desktop as if I'd press Alt-F4 or something to force close the game.

I am now on Blizar Prime with Rivet and just had another crash after playing the game for less then ten minutes.

What is annoying me about this is that the game was 100% stable on maxed out 1440p settings with RT also maxed out using DLSS Quality and Reflex set to On for the first four hours of the game. Since Savali though the game seems to have become unstable such that I can no longer play it for more than 20 minutes without a crash.

I verified the files and they was no corruption or missing files. I have now uninstalled the game and am redownloading it. PC is an i5-13600KF, 32 GB, RTX 4080, Windows 11 Pro using the latest 536.67 drivers and the game is installed to a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD.

This is the same thing that happens to me, but it happens the moment I start the game. I get the 2 cuts of Rivet running away from the robot and giving her helmet to the alien. Then it cuts to rachet and clank, coming outside to Quark and the ground is not loaded, the cutscene dont even finish and I have no clue what comes next because I start falling and I can see 6 platforms all with a purpleish cube on them. I land on them and nothing happens.
