FIXED: Cannot save the game / not creating save states

Hi,

I just cannot save the game. Neither does it automatically create save states.

The '%userprofile%\documents\Ratchet & Clank - Rift Apart\' folder contains only a steam_autocloud.vdf and a userpref file. Neither are a save game.

"Create manual save game" also does nothing. The "profile" menu is also always empty.
Restarting the game now forces me to start over from the beginning.

Windows 11, latest Updates. Also ratchet hotfix from today or yesterday.
Latest gpu driver.

Any help?

Look at your antivirus. Lately, the default Windows antivirus is preventing games from changing something in the game folder.

ok, fixed it.

Go to windows security settings -> virus and threat protection -> ransomware protection:

either turn off controlled folder access or allow ratchet rift apart.exe specifically.
