Ya hopefully. It would be a show of good faith to playstation fans if Sony did something like this though. It would likely increase sales on their PC ports. You can already link PSN to Steam, so it should be pretty easy to do this as well.
Porting is not cheap, it likely wouldn't be economically viable if people were getting discounts left and right.
1. It would not be a discount code, it would be a discount that exists on the account due to having Steam and PSN linked. Could not be resold/traded. Steam already does this for some games (mostly things with sequels).
2. It might make more sense financially, but neither you nor I have access to the costs and sales numbers to make that determination. If giving a X% discount to PS5 owners increased sales, at some point the extra volume of sales would overcome whatever they were making selling it at full price to less people.
3. Porting is a hell of a lot cheaper now than it has ever been in the past, since PS5 and Xbox Series are basically just prebuilt PCs. They use an AMD CPU/GPU, and likely the same instruction set as PC components. Most AA/AAA games are built in UE or Unity, which means a lot of the work is just already done. This is obviously harder for companies that use custom engines.
