Only PS5 game that really had my attention since the console launched. I'll get it here when it's on sale (and I can evaluate the mod landscape).
It'll feel more fluid but if you played Ratchet & Clank 2 and 3, then it'll feel the same in controls. Just better graphics, new weapons, same sort of secrets to find, upgrading weapons which can take more than one play through.
For previous chapters if you want to catch up on the story plot though, best to play Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty and A Crack in Time and Nexus on the PS3 (Still available to play on Playstation Now streaming service) But hoping Sony will port/remaster those four games to PC as those would sell highly as well.
So don't think it'll take you long to get back into it at all.
Might end up getting this at some point though. Would be cool if the other games got ported to steam.
Something in the 2nd game I really lreally loved was the huge levels where there were crystals scattered about and tons of enemies would constantly attack you as you roam around and try and bust the crystals. I loved the feel of grinding my way through, fighting for my life as I try to clear the whole area
And in Deadlocked(I think it was Deadlocked), with the weapon upgrades, in NG+ or maybe it was even further than that, your weapons just leveled up so fast and transformed and kept growing and getting slightly more powerful and having new effects and more projectiles and simply way more chaos
Does this game have these kinds of things? Does any of the newer R&C games have these kinds of things?
but the Ratchet:Gladiator/Deadlocked had super fun and rewarding grind of weapon upgrades for which I really crave for.
The Golden weapons, endless leveling, skill points and hidden rooms I really miss those in today's games.
