I was actually very surprised with dragonquest heroes 2, despite it not being turn-based......probably due to the "air" of keeping most of the same elements that made DQ fun was still present. You could see small touches that were added on that wasn't absolutely needful...but a pleasant addition.
What disappoints me the most, for this game, is that it took away the very foundation of a tradional jrpg....the exploring.
There are tons of arena games and dungeon crawlers.....but few franchises sparked a sense wanderlust in exploration like DQ.
For me what we have is still perfectly enjoyable though, which is where the difference lies. I can understand why one may not feel the same though with that in mind.
It was on my radar becaue it gave itself the Action Roguelike tag but after reading the reviews and seeing enough gameplay footage I can tell it's absolute
doesn't matter, all you need to do is watch some gameplay and you see it is indeed trash
I've been watching someone stream it for hours, looks pretty fun to me. A lot of Hades influence....and almost noone dislikes that game.
Idk what's worse, people clonwing on the game based on reviews that actually beat the game or you who literally leaves 10 paragraph reviews on games you've barely played an hour.
