Wait for them to release a better version on switch and then later on release that better version on pc because if you buy now they will not give you a discount nor a dlc option for the upgraded version of the game so you will be forced to either shell out for the same game with a few additions or suck it.

Also got burned by that DQ11 debacle I surmise? Seriously, they did a great job teaching their audience not to buy their games straightaway that day. I'm sure their marketing section is still feeling that prodigious self own.

i mean I get it but I have to buy this crap because Dragon Quest is like the only series (aside from Tales Of) that I want on PC. It's just pathetic and sad that we haven't got but one actual DQ game. I watched like 12 episodes of the anime, it's not bad. Maybe I'll go back and watch before this comes out.

Am pissed off DQ11 the ultimate edition got worse graphics.

Don't think they'll bother to release ultimate edtion for this game though.

I think the DQ11 situation was just a one off. Switch was a new, but less powerful platform than PS4. They likely would've had to take longer to develop a downgraded + optimised Switch port, so they decided in the meantime to add more content to it. Said version with more content was subsequently ported back to the other platforms.

rumor was that Microsoft paid for DQ11 to be on their platform and they wanted the newest version so that's the only reason we actually got it on the PC (or xbox) at all. idk if that's true but that was the rumor.

Never heard of Project Rebuild? You can get enhanced graphic in like 5 minutes of downloading and copy-paste-ing.

Aye, and it actually wasn't the first they've pulled it on but between shenanigans like that and denuvo's "online checks" making the game an overpriced rental I'll never get fleeced by their overpriced dlc nor the denuvo rentalware which has burned myself quite badly a few times including on amove between states where I had to effing tether just to play a SINGLE-PLAYER game while PIRATES GOT TO PLAY THAT SAME GAME I PAID FOR FREE WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION AFTER INSTALLING IT.

So yeah, until it comes out on switch or removes the denuvo AND does a 50% off the same day for making me wait for that they just pumped out another game I don't care about. And from some of the rumors I've heard about FF16 and some of the things even said, I'm holding out on the game too especially since they'd probably just release it on pc six months afterward anyways knowing them. Squenix has begun ticking me off more than other companies in recent years. And I'm writing form an alt, since I haven't trusted these mods on valve nor the corporations' mods either since the mid or late 2010s.
