Did I miss how she ended up in her condition? (Potential Spoilers)
I beat the game. Got all the endings and finished the epilogue. Did it ever explain her dry throat and how she ended up in a wheelchair? Did I miss that somewhere?

the dry throat thing seems to be a combo of her not talking very much as well as just having a deep voice in general

as for the wheelchair it's implied that shes been disabled since birth

Yea I caught on the the fact she was disabled even as a child. From context I'm assuming it might have been a stroke during birth, but It never really was clear about that as far as I recall. It feels a little strange the game doesn't seem to go into it much more than vague detail. Especially since her condition is a key conflict in the story.

i feel like the story is less about her disability and more about how she views herself and her work because of her disability so its not that important to the immediate story of the game. i do agree that the game should have discussed Olivia's past a bit more so that we can make a clearer picture of who she is and her circumstances but who knows maybe we'll get some extra lore if the devs decide to return to these characters ever again.
Non of the disabilities in the game are specified around which they are. I think this is intentional to allow for more people to relate to them.

All we ever find out is that she's disabled from the knee-down, and she's had it since early childhood (most probably since birth). If there's more to it, it's never mentioned.

Ultimately though, does it really matter? Not knowing her exact medical condition doesn't make us love her any more or less than we do now.

It doesn't ultimately matter, but It would help understand who she was before everything a little better. I just want to learn more about her! The most we really get is more recent stuff before the events of the story with only "Hotwheels" being a small glimpse of her childhood. On that note, I'd like to learn more about her parents and what they were like as well. All of this is insignificant to the scope of the story I know. But, I think it would strengthen her character a bit more to learn about these things. As small as they are. I'm just a sucker for the details.

If I recall right, in route 4 you do get a small reference to Olivia going to physical therapy at a young age where other patients were learning to use their tail to assist in standing.

Yea! That's one of the details I really like. I want more of that!

Probably best to save those extras for a DLC/bonus chapter or sequel, like how Monster Prom does it. Good exposition (and in just the right amount) drives a narrative forward rather than pad it - feels like adding more to the main story would just mess up the flow for new players.
