Anyone remember this anime from early 80s? In Japan it was called "Space Cruiser Yamato" man I LOVED this show as a kid!

it's pretty popular these days since it's being remade/remastered, with the first two seasons and movies having been entirely redone so far, and this game's popularity is probably in part a result of this, as well as the feeling of nostalgia of the original

also very cool together with gundam and yamato
battlestar galactica sparked my love and interest for
space ship series/movies/anime/games

nah I just always think of captain future when playing this. not very familiar with many other cartoons.

Yea totally inspired by Space Battleship Yamato and you really should check out the remake, its literally the same but just much more updated animations but still keeps the feel. Theres no real need for mod the design of the ship is very smilar just missing the wave motion gun at the front and the cannons.

I'd say the ship has more of a Macross series Stargazer Class Stealth Frigate vibe.

Except I'm guessing Spaceship Yamato worked?

I haven't managed to get further than 6 jumps in this before one game breaking bug or another finished it.

And kudos to you guys for managing to deliver a non-functional save feature. That must have taken some doing.

It's Early Access. There wil be bugs. I was in Baldurs Gate 3 EA for almost 2 years and it had a load of bugs which gradually got fixed.

Break dancing dead Gnolls was an especially amusing one.

The outfits remind me of Voltron and running from the enemy reminds me of things like robotech or even irresponsible captain tyler - very funny old show-

hehe Any anime lover that has seen space battlechip yamato aka starblazers knows that the ship and uniforms and the bad guys took heavy inspiration from that. It also is the main reason that i took notice of this game
