If you think your stronghold is in danger, you can use your last order to move a friendly legion through it. You won't be eliminated if you recapture your stronghold after all turns resolve.
The ability to get excommunicated by attacking Pandemonium with a spell was one of the tactics used in the original. This allowed you to bypass the diplomatic requirements and move into enemy cantons, attack Legions as well as attack Strongholds.
I am objecting to easily bypassing these requirements, which attacking pandi is certainly not easy if you wish to win.
1) Masking only costing 1 darkness (the biggest issue, it enables destruction)
2) Dire Dissipation having the same chance of success as all other rituals, which is way too high. Doesn't matter that my resistance is equal or higher than the enemy casting due to Duchess rank and 4 destruction. Every turn it's successful.
