Get Deceit resistance.

Raise your rank
Level Deceit
Cast Expose Traitors from Prophecy
Buy artifacts or PoPs with deceit resistance.

Wait deceit levels protect against deceit? I though prophecy was the one that protected as it has the spells against it?

Deceit passively helps resist it all the time. Same with destruction protecting against destruction I think. Being an expert in something makes it harder for people to use it against you.

Prophecy gives you a great ritual but it’s only on when it’s on.

Well those rings are confusing then, i was going based on them, one gives +1 to prophecy and +1 deceit resist so i thought that was the system the game used. And prophecy also had rituals to defend so it seemed like a correct assumption.

It's stated outright if you check your ritual table. Sort your rituals by the appropriate power, and it tells your total ritual strength/resist in the bottom left.

What Ddraig Lleuad said is right but it took me some time before I accidentally spotted it so devs there may be a bit of UX work needed here to surface this a bit easier, especially for new players.

Omg i was looking all over in the bottom left table menus for the defence stat but i could not find it. Why is it in the offensive rituals section? So unintuitive.

Ah thanks for this feedback! We know we've got a bit of polish to do around Ritual Resistance in general - this is great feedback :-)

Do we get a formula for ritual success, resistance, chances of ritual being a successful one or can it be resisted? I once put loot the vaults and forge orders on an enemy. One worked and the other didn't. I don't understand how this works. Can you explain this please?

The Ring related to Prophecy has a resist because the Prophecy tree holds bonus resists to most other stats. Your base resist is still determined by the applicable stat though. So it goes Base Stat + resists from Artifacts/Places of Power + resists from active Rituals vs total Ritual strength. From there it's still a % chance, not just an up or down based on which is greater, though bigger numbers are better.

Loot the Vaults targets their Stronghold. Forged Orders targets a Legion. They had different resist numbers and there's still a % chance of success/fail even when you outmatch them. The same ritual on the same target may work on when you try again next turn.

Its partly rng, but the formula is
Your power of that type + the level of the thing they are targeting + any resistance bonuses vs Their ritual's power + any bonuses + 1d6.
