20 turns limit sucks
I wasn't able to do anything meaningful. I hoped to be able to at least destroy one enemy

I mean i think you could in theory do it with a certain loadout, but yeah 20 turn limit is rough. But It mostly likely like that cause the likelihood of bugs, crashes, end of turn errors, etc past that point is high. Just a guess.

so Im not sure if this is related, but after Bilial left, I no longer had any troops (legions?) to do anything...the demo appears to be just the tutorial

I also think that 20 turn limit sucks. The moment the game gets fun it is done...

haha, the biggest complaint about this tutorial is that the people want more!

The demo was a bit buggy and its an early release demo, not a final release trial period.
It was enough to make me want more as well, but I'm excited for them to patch up the holes.

Entirely worth playing the demo if you want a taste of what this game can become.

AFAIK you can play scrimish, not tutorial as well.

At least youtuber who showed me this game was able.

Sadly I can't check, because for me game doesn't launch second time.

you can play skirmish for 20turn indeed.

though the belial leaving removing troop is weird, in my tutorial i was abel to keep playing to 20 turn even after belial left.

At Turn 15 the game really started to spiral into a time/ action spacing that was enjoyable... and then the demo ends 5 turns later. I hope the next demo will be much more fun and we can see some late game content too.

spend 10 turns spamming tribute so you can buy anything, spend the next 10 turns securing your borders, get ready to invade the nearest ♥♥♥♥ talker and the game ends.

There was a vote in my game that you could either vote to nuke the bazaar of low level units or banish one unit from each player.

The latter won. Luckily I had just saved up enough to get a second unit, but if you only had one, you're kinda SOL regarding any unit-based actions.

Taking away players toys in an RNG fashion is not really strategic and kinda sucks, to be honest.

in my time limit i was able to capture 3 sights of power

steal an enemys sight of power kill one of their units and level my main army to be quite formidible

3/8/11 (this is considering everything was either tying them or loseing)

Heyo! It's always good to hear that folks want more of the game haha. I just want to mention that we are an indie team and have to be mindful of our dev bandwidth! We're pretty proud of this as a NF Demo, and hopefully it glints at SI's potential as a fully fledged game, with multiplayer and lots of diabolical potential.

I also have seen one of our community members conquer Pandaemonium in their playthrough of the Demo (HUGE effort, hard but possible!)

Thank you so much for the feedback and love - it all fuels a better game in the end!

I thought 20 turns was plenty to get a good feel for the game. Overall, I'm quite impressed; will definitely be buying this at some point.

In an average game of the original SI, I'd say somewhere between 0 and 1 players would die after 50+ turns. Usually 0 players would die, unless on one of the very last turns. It's pretty tough to kill someone without intentionally excommunicating yourself. Which you'd only do if you realized you weren't going to win on prestige.

In other words. 20 turns isn't even enough time to want to kill another player. So of course it isn't enough time to finish the job.

I too wish it was longer. But well. It is a demo for an unfinished game. Not a full game in of itself.

It would been cool if demo had fully playable tutorial map. Skirmish can be with 20 turn limit. Dreams...

I was able to eliminate an opponent once, in quite a few games. They were excommunicated by a vote and I happened to have an army nearby that was strong enough to knock out their Stronghold.

Even in the full game, I think eliminating rivals is supposed to be a relatively infrequent occurrence. It might not happen in every game. The main focus is on garnering prestige, with things like actual eliminations being possible but not necessarily the best use of your limited time.

All that said, I agree that 20 turns isn't a lot of time. I'd love to have more, but this is just a demo. The point is to let potential buyers get a taste of what is to come, not to give them a full game for free. As demos go, I think this one is fairly generous.
