Deep reboot!

Hello friends,

As you know, we have been experimenting with the mobile version of the Zombotron Re-Boot game and have come to the conclusion that we should do a complete reboot of the game and not focus on mobile players.

What does this mean?

We have decided to abandon the casual stylization of the game and make the graphics more stylized and dark.

We have decided to abandon the chibi characters and make them more realistic proportions. We have made the characters' arms and legs longer - this not only changes the perception of the game, but also simplifies the creation of many animations and equipment.

We have decided to abandon linear levels in favor of a conditionally open world in which you can move in any direction to explore the game world. In addition, we plan to add some metroidvania elements to the game. We have noticed that many players like to explore the game and find various mysterious places. In this way, we hope to make the game deeper and diversify the endless action with additional activities and calm locations.

We also want to do a lot of work on the mistakes and make a full-fledged finished story that will better reveal the events taking place in the game. We have prepared a small teaser for the introductory cut-scene, which you can watch right now!

I really hope that we made the right decisions and you will support us on this difficult path! We will keep you informed about the development of the full version of the game and show how the game will change further.

The artstyle is quite terrible.

It looks likke a cheap mobile game for kids now, original graphics were much better and nostalgic, this seems like a change just for the sake of change. Hope it gets reverted.

The New Year update!

We are happy to announce that we have done a lot of work and released the New Year update for Zombotron Re-Boot!

What's new?

✨ Added new challenging levels in which you have to get to the last floor;
✨ In the new levels, you can find three new holiday hats;
✨ Fixed some old known bugs and made new ones!

Zombotron Re-Boot Ver 1.3.0

Hello friends!

Today we have another update for Zombotron Re-Boot (Demo) which is aimed at increasing the stability and reducing the number of annoying bugs in the game to a minimum. In the new version we have added the ability to customize controls for keyboard, mouse and gamepads. And also the game now fully supports of Steam Deck!

What's new in 1.3.0

🔸 Improved gamepad support;
🔸 Improved keyboard and mouse support, now you can configure controls for keyboard, mouse and gamepads;
🔸 Added the ability to manually set the input type: keyboard, gamepad or sensor - this allows you to solve problems with auto-detection of the input type on some devices;
🔸 Added support for Portuguese language;
🔸 Added an option for the hero to self-destruct in hopeless situations ('B' key, L1+R1 or LT+RT buttons on the gamepads);
🔸 As well as other fixes and improvements that should make the game smoother and more enjoyable.

What's new in 1.2.2

🔸 Enemies now dies when falling from a great height;
🔸 The problem of the livating hero when he got caught on walls and game objects has been fixed, due to this the responsiveness of the controls has been improved;
🔸 The camera zoom option has returned to the game settings; the functionality has been improved and now it works as it should;
🔸 Many known problems on game levels related to the incorrect revival of the hero or transition to other levels have been fixed;
🔸 Added support for new localizations: Polish, Hungarian, Serbian and Chinese.
🔸 As well as other minor fixes and improvements!

We are not planning any more updates for the demo version of the game (exclude bug fixes), which means we are switching to full-time work on the second chapter!

I LOVE X-Mass Challenge Mode

Thank you so much for the X-Mass Challenge Mode! What a neat surprise! I hope you have a Valentine's Challenge Mode planned next. Instead of collecting zombie heads, we would collect hearts. And there could be carnivorous rose bushes that shoot out poisoned thrones....

No Spring Challenge Mode?

I have to say that I am disappointed that there is a Winter (which is listed as Christmas mode), but there's been no Spring Challenge. Or Easter Challenge, if you want to stick to that theme. I imaged carnivorous Trumpet Lilies, Exploding colored eggs, and maybe extra leaping or running power via chocolates. Wait till you hear my Summer Challenge ideas—scandalous....

The "artstyle"

So I'm seeing quite a lot of messages and replies about the artstyle of the game being not good etc, being note pleasant to some players.. ok.. but being not pleasant for some players that give terrible reasons, mobiles. First, for those who aren't aware of that fact, yes this Re-Boot is originally made for phones, so the very zoomed UI, the.. phone-like artstyle ?
