Per conquests, I agree that either battles need a speed option or a manual battle option. If we have to wait for the combat, why not control it ourselves? (And that would increase the upper bound of battles you can potentially win.)
I'm about 19 towns into Conquest and I'm starting to hit a wall: where I can't get enough XP to level my main heroes so I can't win battles anymore. And it would take about 800 hours to get enough XP passively to increase 1 hero level. I can think of several ways around this: increase passive XP gain to reflect your current conquest progress; add some daily battles which aren't tied to conquests so that we can still get some victories; add a respec option; or have hero levels be a shared level between all heroes, so it isn't impossible to change heroes.
Again, if the Dev REALLY want an opinion formed on the feedback of the players, just see the reviews of his own game: Recent, for 1 positive, there's 3 negative and the game now is mixed!
"Oh, but at least he is backing up the total amber stored from 1k to 2k... Again why not 5k?
"I don't make the game for myself" Ok, put 5k again and if not, tell us WHY, technically you could not do that?
The same with the eggs! Oh, and why we need to spend eggs to win a chest again? Open 3 chest to gain 1?
For who is this game?
Oh, and I paid the VIP and some amber before, soo yeah, "i've done my part".
Conquest is, indeed fun, but of course will be very hard to beat later levels... But the guy above said 800 to one lvl? Wait... It's this real? Must be, because of skin you have to kill 10kk enemies, and i have 6kk life time.
Why soo absurd? Please, explain to us if you really care.
But well done to the dev!! Altough I noticed that the main game (Ninja) had balances again that ruin our run and make us get stuck getting barely any elixir in a 3-day run. I get 5x less than before, which is sadly enough a big no, progressing feels therefor not great knowing an update might slow down your down for some extra weeks/months while it not being your fault. Now I need to prestige 5x every 3 days to get the same amount as 1x 3 days.
edit 3 days later: I still feel my elixirs not going up to the number I'm used to without spending extra days idling, even tho I already got several upgrades for Ninja in Conquest, it feels slower than before the patch. Also, damn Town 19-1 is extremely hard!!! It would take probably 2 weeks of upgrading conquest buildings before I'll be able to hopefully go to 19-2 without the possibility to upgrade 1 hero +1 lvl as you need several wins at certain levels (37+)
Ooops, I miss-typed a 0 on the calculator :D It's actually in the 80 hour per level range for me right now. Which is still a tad high. I'll be able to increase the passive XP gain a bit through upgrades, but that'll bring the time down to ~40 hours per level over the next week.
If I happen to roll some other heroes in that time, it would take weeks of waiting to get their levels up to my main heroes.
Re-fight conquered towns to gring exp. You has other limitations beside this stupid one. You can't overlevel heroes before upgrade training ground, you can't upgrade training grounds before upgrade castle, you can't upgrade castle before upgrade other structures and all of this require resources and wait of stupid timer. And, ofcourse, you can spend amber to skip timer - we in mobile trash game here, right?
Training ground can produce dusts for star up instead of exp. But, yeah, how will he earn money if you not spend them on gacha scrolls.
Also dev currently planned some changes for some other problems. But all problems he create by himself. He literally try to fix that he broke by his own will.
This is enough for being a personal opinion and/or review?
Or it's 'too toxic' and such posts will be ignored again?
Like any update there will be a bit of fine tuning (that already recently happened)
For me is a TOP+ project
About the negative reviews: It's the same every year now... people burst out and get mad every time you touch a minimal thing and when everything sets back, nobody says anything anymore... They are people that want everything and immediately
However, in general most people forget some basic concepts:
1) Concept of Idle games... it's a fire-and-forget type of game which requires some attention only minutes a day, you can't expect to beat it in a couple of days, weeks, months...
I see it like a 'companion' while I work, watch movies and other activities, so even I need to keep it running for a long period of time, it's more than welcome!
If it did end in matter of weeks, THAT would be boring... (and I would be sad)
... I also understand that patience is not for everyone
2) Concept of game developer: well, you can't believe or not, but that's a job! Developer are not esonarated to pay the bills, buy groceries and ... live! Would you do your everyday job for free?
So it's normal the game contains some features behind some monetization! and if you enjoy the game (which is totally free) and if you can, i think that would be morally correct to support the Dev the best you could...
BUT if you can't afford to donate some money... look! there is no problem! that's fine.. you'd just need to have a bit more patience to obtain some achievements, but the game experience is not altered if you don't pay!
I personally became a VIP after thousands of hours of gameplay because I felt it was right to do it, but before that period I totally enjoyed the game the same
5.0 was nerf update, overall progress was slowed.
6.0 was announced as Conquest update, but actually become monetization update.
I don't know any other idle game that need that insane amount of time like 3r hours to reach endgame. Maybe because other games have offline progression not limited by 16 hours.
so everyone can give their opinion if it is good or bad update
and to me is a great one
Could I progress anyway? yes
Slowly? yes
Did I care if it took a month instead of week? no
Did I still enjoyed the product: yes!
It was a Conquest update? yes
can I still play without paying? yes
do need to wait longer to achieve what others can achieve paying? yes, but I don't care
Am I still enjoying the product? absolutely yes!
I DO hope there won't be any endgame soon at all!
Some heroes need rebalancing but the overall progress speeds up at an acceptable rate, it looks very slow at the beginning but then starts doubling up at lvl 5.
It's an idle game, I share the urge to get good heroes and level them up and create a team and beat everything but unfortunately this is an idle game and everything needs patience.
Remember that there's no endgame in this genre, just infinite grind, if you don't enjoy the grind maybe this game isn't for you.
As for the monetization I sincerely don't understand what you people are even talking about, I haven't spent a dime yet and I don't see why I should beside wanting to support the dev.
Everything can be bought for free with time. If you want things fast you have to pay.
