Anyone have a breakdown of the "Daily Bonus"

Recently opened this up. I've been looking around for a breakdown of what to expect from the Daily bonus. Is it a random range of bonuses each day? Does it operate on a cycle? What kinds of things do the bonuses apply to?

Just curious because having some degree of knowledge would help me plan for example, "going to ascend and use a gold bonus to rebuild quickly" or "Elixer bonus, so its time to ride the highs."
