- the dragonfly if you need amber
- the chicken for gold
The reason why the chicken is the ultimate pet is that a firefly hit with a shuriken boosted by the chicken gives about 10_000 times the gold that an enemy gives, so how much gold a firefly gives is a lot more important than anything else. And that boost is 1440%, plus another 60% in increased GpS and another 40% in coin value. No other pet comes close to even a 500% increase.
And that huge firefly coin drop is also why almost nothing else matters at the endgame: killing enemies with the katana for an hour isn't even close to hitting just one firefly, and finding gold in a golden chest is an insult.
The dragonfly lacks the GpS and coin value boosts, but it still has the firefly boost and it generates amber needed to complete the holiday tasks.
But yeah, cat for holidays and amber, chicken for gold, sounds solid.
Dragonfly for amber.
