A lof of beat em ups gets inspiration from fighting games nad vice versa. Ever since Street Fighter 2 and Streets of Rage 2. This "stolen sprites" arguing is nonsense, and it shows you dont know ♥♥♥♥ about beat em ups.

She looks more curvaceous in her character art, but looks borderline like a stick figure in her sprite. Her animations also look a lot more stiff and robotic compared to the male characters.
Would love to see some improvements here.
If it would be like Streets of rage 4 or Mayhem brawler, i would buy it.
PS: Perhaps it will be for the next opus.
Do me a favor and look at this screenshot -

You see that dude in the middle with the huge head?
That's very clearly Andy Bogard's head pasted on a re-sized and re-worked Ralf/Clark body, both taken straight out of the classic KOF games. This is like a gigantic joke that they are trying to sell something that looks this jank.
I play tons of fighting games and beat'em ups, and I know what's up. This is straight up garbage. "Inspiration" is one thing, but this is just ripping SNK's assets, putting it into a OpenBoR game and trying to sell it for $25 lmao.
It's so janky I just HAD to buy it. I'm constantly wondering whether X or Y part of certain enemy was taken from an old KOF game or not thanks to knowing the sprites by heart due to my MUGEN years.
Now I can't unsee midget Clarkndy.
Only that they didn't use OpenBoR, they uesed their own engine. Also it's more polished than most OpenBoR games anyway. Even if they used some sprites of old games, who cares anyway? Gekido (Advance) did it, they took some sprites from KoF and Last Blade, reworked them heavily, some noticed, some didn't, but the game was great anyway,
I'd like to get the game myself so I can properly fully inspect it and give a quick review, I love playing my janky ass games, but for $20-25? I'll wait for a Steam Sale like I did with that new disaster of a Contra game that came out like last year.
You mean "Contra Rogue Corps"? That was bad...I paid like 5 euro, and still felt bad about it!
Anyway, I think the perfect price for this game is $15.
