Did this recently break due to a patch, or was this never working to begin with?
... and yes I agree the difficulty is high for solo play and the AI do not seem to be scaling at all for 1 player. It needs a AI difficulty option but I guess they removed that feature as well?
Then next time we play, I start the server, hop into GM mode and Load the scenario, so It's 90% the same as when we left off (buildings and caputred points are still there, you keep your XP although you have to Spawn in the first time so you must redo your kit).
Sometimes AI disapear, not sure why but you can always spawn them back in with GM.
For PVE I suggest ConflictPVERemixedVanilla mod.
As far as I know, solo Combat Ops allows save. Not sure for MP, didn't try.
But it doesn't.
So far, everytime i tried to continue Combat Ops mission in progress, it just spawned me in a new instance. Start from scratch. No missions finished, no collected gear.
So i guess it's broken. Or - at least it was before the April 1st update, i haven't played after that, but that update prolly contains just some jokey ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ instead of regular stuff.
I'll come back in 5 years...maybe by then Bohemia will be out of money and back to actually working full time on this franchise.
Lord knows these are not the same people who gave us OFP in 2001. Their work ethic is just so bad.
BTW you're prolly right about BI having different crew, it's been 20+ years since OFP. Not many people stay doing one job for that long.
And at least from one point of view, i'm glad for that, because Arma-Reforger is the first ever game voiced in my native Czech Language that doesn't give me absolutely horrendous cringe overload.
OFP voiceover in their native Czech was soooo cringey i couldn't play it at all, despite absolutely loving the gameplay. Had to get an English-voiced release.
What are you complaining about exactly here? Bugs? OFP was horrendously bugged. Did you forget their famous FADE DRM triggering in legit copies of the game?
NVM. I'm not saying Reforger is perfect, but it's pretty much what i expected. A testing ground for stuff that might be eventually passed down to Arma4.
