curiosity: number flower tiles?

hi! this isn't gameplay critical or even an achievement, but in one of the rooms (i can't remember which one) there's a grid of tiles with flowers. they go 1 through 9. one tile has ginkgo leaves instead of flowers. did anyone do anything with them? what's the point of them? the only thing i saw is a clue that the three, i think, went in the middle? and the three tile was green. the other 8 tiles were other colors, two each of four colors.

If I recall correctly you are meant to solve the puzzle to get a clue for another puzzle which technically can be solved without it

click on the other tiles beside the "3" tile, they will reveal how you should arrange the flower tiles
