That's how people like you survive in this society. I know you're certainly not a looker.
I’m inclined to agree. I want there to be games with beautiful women in them like Stellar Blade, Nier Automata, etc. But I don’t really mind if there are games with ugly women in them too. I just don’t see it as a “woke” assault on my hobby like some do. Not talking about anyone here, just other people who say that. I don’t want all characters to be ugly, but I don’t worry about that because it seems like something that wouldn’t ever realistically happen. I think that it’s interesting to have a mixture. And I don’t think all women in TLOU are ugly, even if Abby is. I think the Cascina Carradona chick who is Dina’s face model is really pretty. She’s a bit weird IRL, sure, but also pretty banging (or at least she was during the time that TLOUP2 came out) and Ashley Johnson is foxy too, although Ellie isn’t a 1:1 copy of her.
And I mean agree about it's ok for people to be ugly. Have no idea what ghosthawk looks like and I don't like to make assumptions like that about people.
TLO2 is garbage, we can go in circles about the woke part, suffice to say, that the story and characters are garbage.. Best part of that game is seeing people throw Abby off a cliff, over and over. Cascina Carradona, the actress is good looking, the character, not so much lol. The idea of "I don't mind seeing not good looking characters in games" does not make much sense to me, beautiful girls are appealing to the eye, same with good looking guys. I mean you don't have to make them ALL good looking but each game should have some hot girls and more so the main characters. You are looking at them for extended periods of time. If you check any game that allows you to make your own character, the VAST amount of people make good looking people, oh I wonder why..... This include girls, the pawn for Dragon's Dogma 2 (the design) I got from a girl on youtube that made her character look like that (I just added more ass and boobs).
Also Abby, as a character makes no sense, There is no way a roid up freak would exist in that world. Then let's go into her motivations and their attempts to make us like her. So she tortures and kills Joel in a very horrible way as vengeance but I want to play as her? Not me man. What did Joel do, gave her father a quick death after trying to REMOVE THE BRAIN of Ellie who is like his own child. Like ♥♥♥♥ me man, yeah right, no thx, I am good. I wanted all of those characters to burn, you don't even get to kill Abby at the end as Elie. Abby knew what her father wanted to do, she still murdered Joel and she did not even do it fast, she took her time torturing and killing him slowly.
Finally culminating with her turning his head and face into paste. Try to wrap you mind around how evil this woman is. Giving that beloved character such a death... Then expecting people to play as her and enjoying the game, dumb, dumb, dumb!
Abby is unatractive (I would not say ugly) on the outside buy extremely ugly on the outside. That is why people find her ugly and don't like her.
TLO1 made me buy a PS4 just for it, TLO2 did not even bother playing it even if I had a PS to play it, I just wanted some YT vids. TLO1 I got it again on PC. TLO2 does not exist for me. Also and yes, the world in TLO2 does look great, could not care less when the rest is ♥♥♥♥.

Well like I said, I appreciate games with beautiful women in them and enjoy playing those games. But I also enjoy meaningful storytelling and compelling gameplay loops. Not that you can’t achieve those things while also including attractive female characters, but I’m open to novel game/story ideas. I think requiring developers to feature hot women in their games is as silly as requiring ugly ones. Yes, women are attractive to look at, but 3D rendered models are not women at the end of the day, they’re just designed to mimic them. If someone really needs to look at beautiful women that badly, they’re free to take a break from gaming and then come back afterwards.
And I think Cascina looks just like Dina, except maybe the fact that Dina doesn’t wear make up at all. But they didn’t change anything very significant, she even has the same freckles and everything.
I don’t know what to say about the rest. TLOUP2 is intentionally designed to cause strong emotional reactions from players, that’s the point. But if you don’t play through the game, then you aren’t able to come to a place that allows you to empathize with Abby at the end of that journey. Watching a Let’s Play isn’t enough to get you there, and some people still can’t empathize with Abby if they finish the game to completion. I liked Joel and didn’t want him to die, but still enjoyed the game despite his fate. I was hooked into the story and couldn’t play anything else after I started (until seeing the credits roll). Good stories aren’t always synonymous with stories that make you feel good or that end well.
"TLOU2 has a garbage story because the girls aren't supermodels there to serve as eye candy for me."
The story is completely lost on these people. But nothing of value was lost. You reach a point where you realize not everything is for everyone. Some art requires some age, life e experience and a mature mind. Not everyone has that and that's okay. Game just isn't for you. Too bad but that's how it is -- you are not the target audience. Move on.
If what you got from my post is "girls are not supermodels so the story is garbage" the story would seem to be great for people with limited intelligence.
Yep, sure, you are right, I am not the target audience.
PS. Hot people sell, you can hate it or not, they improve any product they are in. This has been known for a very, very long time. Does this have anything to do with story quality if its not something specific about how someone looks? No, it just an added feature that improves the game. Now I don't expect you to understand this considering what you got from my post.
