Not Enough Memory Issue
Whenever I launch my game, I get this issue. It might be because I have 8gb ram, is there anyway to play this on 8gb ram or can I bypass this using any mod... maybe?

nope.avi 16GB are required minimum.

don't listen to the clowns saying "bad port" and stuff. it is required for smooth gameplay.

Because the minimum requirements calls for 16GB, I don't think you will be able to run the game with just 8GB. Even if you can get it running, it will probably run less than desirable due to limited resources.

Ram is fairly cheap and you can make the jump to 32 without breaking the bank. I upgraded to 64 a few days ago because I found a deal on corsair DDR4. As far as 16 gb goes, I think you would get more bang for your buck by jumping to 32. Good luck!

But I have a laptop. I meet the other requirements except the ram... I remember years ago I saw a tutorial where it showed how to change your ram using the registry editor or something. It makes it look like you have a higher ram and bypasses it. But I can't find the tutorial anymore.

You can't just add RAM by telling the computer it has more. You can increase the page file, which acts as additional virtual memory, but it cannot replace a lack of physical RAM with virtual RAM. If you're short on the system memory, adding virtual memory page file won't fix the problems you're having. You'd potentially be able to get the game to run but not without massive performance hiccups and hitching due to the really slow speed at which memory is processed when on the page file compared to the physical RAM memory. The performance you'd have wouldn't be worth it.

With laptops, you can buy SODIMM DDR memory modules to replace what you have. Some laptops let you install additional SODIMM DDR memory kit if they have the room for it.

even laptops can be upgraded if you want to. what's the rest of the specifications of the machine? also would be interesting to know how much ram is soldered on the board. so... if you need to replace 2 or can just replace 1 module.

cpu:
ram: 8 GB (should be upgradeable)
gpu:
vram:

As episoder already mentioned, the only chance is to upgrade the RAM. The Ram usage of these game is always between 14 and 17 GB, so far I've seen in my Taskmanager.

okay. that cpu should be good for 60 fps. the gpu is rather low end tho. that will only play 720p with low settings. medium environment is a tight squeeze or you fsr the hell out of it.

i dunno what to recommend. paying 50 bucks and putting more ram is not gonna make this perform or look any better. diminishing returns. the gpu and vram mostly is the bottleneck.

i'd not recommend playing this game on 720p low settings. so...

you have the option to refund. or upgrade, but still not have a good looking experience or you gotta tune it to perfection, really. i could do that. are you able to manage settings and monitoring gauges?

sorry but, in this particulary moment , where the game have a lot of performace problem by a very bad optimization, your system is very too low for playng this game at "playable" performance, consider that thise game, it also takes up 12/14 Gb of ram (now).......even if you had the minimum required (16 GB), really, you would have such low performance, that you won't be able to play.....

I have been able to run Plague Tale Requim and many other heavy games on 60fps on medium settings. I am fine with playing on low settings.

Got it, I am going to play it on GeForce Now if it is available there.

I have 16gb of ram but also get this error. Anyway to fix?
I'm running on 8vram graphic card.

AFTER THE NEW UPDATE + SHADERS RENDERED ( 10 min journey) +
----> RESTART PC <---- Very important here.

I'm able to play the game on a 8 vram graphic card (3070 ti) with high settings (I've kept it on 7.5 vram just in case), running on 1440p resolution, fps around 50-80 (mostly a stable 70 fps experience). There are some stutters but goes away for good if you wait a few seconds for the new areas of the game to load. Zero crashes. My pc experience is just as good when I first played it on playstation.
