Games not being good, or people get bored. I have like 420 games or more, and ive not even finished more than 15% of them lmao.
Its easy to replace money, but it is impossible to replace time. Why would someone waste their life on something they dont enjoy?
There's real life obligations?
We're also employed?
We play more than one game?
I'm about 60% in and this is while I'm also playing Atomic Heart, Hogwart's Legacy, The Outer Worlds SCE.
I believe you, but i just can't wrap my head around the idea that 78% of players never finished a modern classic like Bioshock.
But Bioshock 2 - is about 22%
All these stats are only steam stats btw, not consoles etc. But still The point still stands that most people straight up do not finish games lmao
most people have too many games to play, either out socializing, employed and too tired from work etc, or playing MP games with friends, Some people have depression, The list just goes on.
I've got about 95 games in my Steam library and finished 67 of them. The rest of them I've either gotten bored of or they've become too frustrating to carry on.
There's so many games that I've bought to play and then started playing a different game and totally forgot all about them, Take MGS V for example, I was so hyped to play that game and I've still yet to complete the intro like 5 years later.
me personally I own Bioshock on PS3 & and steam, so the % can even drop further in theory .
Didn't mean I regret a dime of money or a minute of time I spent on it, it's just like it had already served its duty. Some of them I've picked up later, some much later, and just got back into them.
This one, on the other hand, I'm already on the third playthrough on and no, it's not because I've changed my mind about the state of it, it was still a craptastic launch and it's still got a way to go, a waaaay to go before it's even close to current standards, but I just can't stop, in spite of the stutters, sub-par performance, excessive system load (least of my worries, because my system isn't about to melt no matter what it throws at it, I just find it silly).
Dunno. I just don't think that % of players completing a game, any game, is much of an indicator as to how "good" it is. Could be that those with low percentages were just too long for a lot of people to stick with, those with high percentages were too short to get bored of before completion... Who knows. Not a conclusive metric, is my opinion.
