Cant Get Close enough to the deer in the Winter chapter

I have seen the online vid clips which I think are Playstation. But on PC . I just cannot get close enough before it runs off even in crouch The arrows fall half the distance. I have seen a hint saying crouch and wait for it to come tom you. Tried that . no joy. Any advice please.

Reload that section and just mess around with practicing with the bow. It was a pain for me at first as It was the first time I used the bow in the game and I wasn't used to how it works.

What i can suggest is to avoid the little sticks on the ground, do the slow crouching as you do when clickers are around (unless you Rambo the game lol) and be like 30/40m away from it. The bow has some range, you just need to fully wind up the arrow and aim very slightly above the deer body. Do not even attempt to head shot the thing, it ain't happening lol. Also (maybe you already are) play that section on mouse, it might be easier to fine aim. Another tip is trying to get the high ground on him plenty rocks formation you can climb up to.

Yes I have tried the high ground as shown on the clips but still falls short . How to fully wind up the arrow ? keep the button pressed maybe . o. k. will try that. Yes , i know about the sticks. I am playing it on easy as I am not a practised gamer. Seems the right level for me.
Yes have done slow crouching but he still hears me coming . Will try that wind up thing though. Thanks

Yes iam stuck for months. WHat should ido? I have shoot it countless of time but it dosent get hit and it runs away! Why?

what do you mean you were not drawing back the bow? What did you do and how to do that on keyboard and mouse??
