Shadow Of The Colossus for PC next?
Now that a few PS4 "AAA titles" like TLOU, God Of War, & Uncharted 4 are out on Steam, when is Sony going to get off their butt and release Shadow Of The Colossus & get Naughty Dog to put the Uncharted trilogy out?

Bloodborne is playable on PC already.

They mean they want a native PC release, not a janky PS4 emulator that still doesn't fully work. Still don't know why Jimbo (and subsequently you) needed to necro a post from 6 months ago to say that. Shadow of the Colossus is playable as well using PS2 or PS3 emulators, but the thread was about native official releases on Steam with graphical settings, achievements, PSN, the whole nine yards.

The emulator fully works.

I forgot this game existed and it popped into my head a couple months ago and realized it wasn't and never (probably) will be on pc :steamsad:
RPCS3 for Shadow of the Colossus while we wait. A Sony exec said porting PS games to PC was like a license to print money. I'm glad they finally figured it out. Most of the games asked for in this comment section are already PC ports.
I gave in finally and got a PS5 Pro. No need for a port of a remake on steam now.

For people who have an interest in older PS IPs like Shadow of the Colossus, Gravity Rush, Bloodbourne, etc …it’s better to get a console. PlayStation is very open to releasing games on PC nowadays, but they are simultaneously only focused on games like God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, and The Last of Us (and anything new like Soros/Returnal). They moved their HQ to California in 2016 and they almost seem embarrassed of games like Knack, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Gravity Rush, The Last Guardian. Basically all the amazing stuff to come out of Japan Studio. Maybe, just maybe, Astrobot’s success will change that, but I doubt it.

I’ve considered getting a PS5 Pro because I like having powerful hardware, but I already have a standard PS5 and after watching about 30 or 40 PS5 Pro videos from digital foundry, I really don’t see much reason to upgrade at all. The quality of the PS5 Pro patches range from slightly worse to noticeable but not very compelling (with a handful of legitimate upgrades like Stellar Blade or FF7 Rebirth). They really need to fix the issues with PSSR and make it where you can easily purchase a disc drive for MSRP before I would pull the trigger on a Pro.

thats because the ps5 pro uses the same architecture, it legit uses the same cpu that the base ps5 uses. NOT even a cpu upgrade, and the upgrade from GPU side is only by ONE generation!!! which is funny because, RDNA 4 JUST released this week. So PS5 pro became DATED as soon as it released lmafo
Going way off topic, but I'm pleased with it. I got it 25% off from Wal-Mart around Christmas and sold my slim on eBay for $350, so it all worked out. I picked up an 8TB SSD and ripped all 400 of my blu-rays to .mp4, set up a plex server, and stream them to the ps5. I'm done ever touching a disc, HDD, or HDMI cable again. Plus, you know, it plays games.

I mean, yeah, it’s off-topic technically but you brought it up and this thread was dead until someone saw fit to resurrect it, so who cares? How did you manage to get the PS5 Pro for 25% off MSRP? I haven’t seen any sales for it yet, from any retailers (let alone one for $200 off). But physical games are such a benefit to console, it’s like the one inherent advantage it has over PC, seems like a waste not to use it. I suppose if you only play popular games, you wouldn’t notice but there’s quite a few Japanese games that we don’t even get in the west, but you can play the physical games on a North American PS4/PS5. Like Dead or Alive Extreme 3 and certain M2 Shot Triggers ports like Esp Ra De and Aleste Collection (also not available on PC either, not through official means).

Although to be fair, you could make a second account and set your region to Japan and get them digitally if you were dead set on not touching physical games, but it’s actually less convenient because you have to top up your Japanese account’s digital wallet with Japanese gift cards bought from Amazon Japan or Play Asia.

I set up a Japanese account years ago to get the rest of the Rockman digital PS1 games for PS3. Get a job at Wal-Mart and get a one-time 25% off discount around Christmas.

If you want to play something like Uncharted then try the Tomb Raider survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider). Same thing, different protagonist
