531.61 Nvidia Driver is out (Fix for 30 series included).
As the title says, a new WHQL driver has come out from Nvidia. It incorporates the fix that came with the hotfix driver. (Feel free to ignore that driver now.) WHQL's are of course for all cards. So, install it and see how you go. Don't shoot the messenger if it doesn't fix your issue, I'm just saying it's out.

Another hours of shader compilation? At least mine does it in about 29 mins...

What this also means is that Iron Galaxy had better test this driver before they put out more patches, just in case this driver breaks something.......

Like I said though, don't shoot me if something does break, that ain't my fault, LOL!
Only the problems of the new series are repaired again! Old card eg 2080 can be thrown away?

CPU pegged at 100% at 73C at 4625MHZ while compiling shaders. Allocated system RAM 10200MB, Dedicated RAM 5300MB. This game is a CPU stress tester.
Slow shader compliation once again.... at least for me so far.
If you are on a 30 series, no need to update - you will save on rebuilding the shaders again and if everything works, it might just break it. Only if you have the new 4070 crap of a product this is for you.

The drivers aren't just for 4070, it has other fixes apart from TLOU.

Shader compilation is suppose to do that cause the shader compilation uses advance AVX instruction sets to allow for the fastest and most efficient compilation process. That's normal.

I'm not entirely getting my hopes up yet, but has this new driver fixed many of the graphical glitches for anybody else? I've only played so far for about ten minutes max, but I'm not experiencing the hair, scope etc. glitches that I have been experiencing, dare I say... the game actually looks pretty damn decent now? Okay the optimisation still is meh, and I've lost all of my progress trying to go back for ONE dog tag I missed ( :steamfacepalm: ), but for all of ten minutes so far my characters and background look like they are meant to. I just hope it stays that way....
