They want people to buy it on PS5 and then after they have milked that
then they will announce PC version.
If you had the game originally on PS4. IMO I wouldnt waste the $10 for the "upgraded" version. As it really is a very minor difference. ND SONY really should of made this a free upgrade.
Since ND hasnt released any news on Pt.2 coming to PC. This is probably a good thing. As hopefully itll give ND more time to release a way better version visually than console.
With that said. There really is no "souped" up version. Since the difference is negligible visually. Hopefully we will get the souped up version on PC, but I am not holding my breathe. Yes, that is the correct spelling for this term.
Anyway, here is the comparison video.

I don't have any real interest in the rogue like mode but the lost levels and directors commentary may be interesting, IDK.
Anywhoo, reviews will probably be up soon.
I saw that too, it really is very minimal difference but there are a few things of note. You can play with unlocked frame rates at 1440p (perf mode resolution) with it reaching up to around 90fps (of course this is only for people with 120Hz displays). And there is a 40fps quality mode option at native 2160p (again requiring a 120Hz display as well as VRR). This is all without any upscaling from FSR that we normally see on consoles.
Still though, *IF* someone already owns it on PS4, paying $10 to get this new version is smarter (IMO) than paying $60 on PC. There was a very minor difference between PS5’s Quality mode compared to PC Ultra settings for Part 1 and that’s probably going to be the same for Part 2. They aren’t likely to be doing much in the way of upgrades over PS5 beyond things that make the PC version naturally better like higher frame rates, DLSS, Ultrawide, Steam Deck support, etc. It’s not like they will add Global Illumination, RT reflections or anything like that.
Well, the issue with consoles is even though it offers these modes. Its not a stable FPS. With well over 20+ FPS being lost. Some scenes are in the low 90's than it drops to low 70s and for a moment in that video it dropped to low 60s.
This in turn can cause stuttering with that many frames being lost. Which I really do not like about consoles. If it cant run at a solid 90 to begin with. The mode shouldnt be added. And it should be locked at 60 to make it smoother and more stable.
FSR 3 cant even be used for PS5 as SONY is not fully utilizing DX12 and have their own API. So it wont benefit like the XSX would, but there are talks that the PS5 Pro model will change this to make it better. Even if FSR is still in its infancy for consoles.
Of course that option is always a cheaper route. Depending on if/when the game releases on PC. There will be more options to buy with Steam, EGS, or key seller. So you wont have to worry about waiting long for a drop in base price.
Im not expecting that much out of the PC version. I never do for console ports. If the game is fun I will buy it. As long as that blur and softness are removed with improved draw distance/LOD. That is fine.
The textures always have a slight improvement for PC if any. When they adjust for better filtering it at least helps in that area. Going to Ultra settings has always been a gimmick. If you are not staring at a stagnant screen for all the minute details. It really is a pointless setting. Techspot covered this quite well and you can see that anything after high does not really bring anything more, but worse performance for no real reason.
( although I strongly dislike Zelda lol )
