Word of advice, not trying to be unhelpful or trolling: Never buy anything new, like a new model of a car, or a new type of computer part. Always wait several generations.

It's probably a driver issue
I dont think its new its just needs to mature on driver side of things. I had no issue playing other AAA titles that are built on DX12 API so whats up with this? Plus this is not using DX11 API which I agree Intel has limited support but their patching it really fast. Either ND/Iron Galaxy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up or Intel needs to release a new driver. Chip making is not something new to Intel so their competent IMO.

From what I understand is TLOU isn't use a full true DX12 API. This might be why there are issues since DX11 is a big struggling point for Arc. I don't wanna use the term emulation here, but from what I understand it's DX11on12 "emulation" for lack of a better way to describe it.

Yea. If the crashes stop with XMP disabled, you can manually set all the clock and timings for the memory and that more or less should keep you from crashing if the crash was from OC CPU/RAM.

But this problem is only in TLOU. All other games work fine.
anyway, I'll try it out.

Real world situations, practical situations, non-synthetic situations, they don't all play out the same. The stress and types of workloads can be similar to one and other but the actual way each individual process is handled/managed, is ultimately quite different.

Some things act as more of a trigger than others. Hopefully it isn't an issue with the OC settings with any of the Intel hardware and just a driver issue.

try that too
but if its crashing when building shaders?
shader building seems heavy on the alu..
long story short, the calculator part of the cpu..so if its crashing every time there? then sounds like your cpu overclock isnt stable somewhere......
either that or your psu, or cpu power not correctly seated, e.c.t

cpu

other games dont spend nearly 2 hours just builduing shaders, making your cpu hit 100% for two hours long.....
