Matte black ground textures.
Does anyone have any kind of solution for missing ground textures everywhere. It was bad early, but really bad on the college campus. Just huge areas of black ground.

The only solution to this that I know of is to restart the computer.

Quit the game to Desktop and start it again.

Unfortunately, it has been restarted, updated, so many times, nothing has worked.

Just happened to me, by some miracle I thought I had managed to get the game running for nearly an hour without a crash and then after it did, all my graphics are now totally messed up. Most of my textures are now black or have disappeared completely and the game runs much slower. I have tried restarting my computer etc. and nothing fixes the issue. Another thing that annoys me is it doesn't mater when you save, it only saves from the last checkpoint.

I thought that after I got out west, it was getting better. Nope, just one section that was fine, then back to black.

This needs more attention, the fact that they havent even acknowledged this is unbelievable!

Likely not enough vram / memory probably the first one, honestly they need to code the game to just load in low textures when it exceeds vram budget rather then no textures.

I’ve got 20 gigs VRAM, and it never even gets close to going over.

I had this, including everyone having giant eyebrows, until I capped the framerate so my cpu didn't spike to 100%. Since then It's not happened once.

I agree with a previous post. You may be out of VRAM. This may be the result.
A fix that worked for me was turning off Gamma Correction in Nvidia Control Panel and then restarting the game

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
