Xbox controller and input prompts
The XBox Controller has no L3 / R3 and the game still propose L3 to observe, R3 for flashlight.
Please fix this and also the crashes.

No offense, but I'm waiting this game on PC for a long time. It's great but 3 / 4 crashes per hour is killing my mood.

Steam Input: Game properties > Controller > Use Standard Settings

- Xbox Controller ON

L3 and R3 works for me on Turle Beach Recon (Xbox Series X Controller). Flashlight doing it's job on R3.

You can choose which button does what in the settings

Push in the right Stick for R3 for flashlight and push in left stick for L3 to look. I use a Xbox controller and have no issues with it. They may not be labeled but they are there.

on an xbox controller they are called "RS" (Right Stick) and "LS" (Left Stick), instead of R3 and L3.

"Push in the RS to activate your flashlight".

The Xbox controller works, but are the Xbox prompts not in the game? We're stuck with Playstation prompts even if we play with a non-Playstation controller?

Xbox prompts are present in the game and used if you use an XINPUT (Xbox Compatible Controller). However some of the game hint prompts you to use L3 (LS on Xbox) to look or R3 (RS on Xbox) to toggle the flashlight, as if you are using either a DUALSHOCK 4 or DualSense controller.

Which I presume is an error on Naughty Dog's part as every other prompt has the correct ones when using an Xbox controller when I played it.

Ah, that's something I didn't try. I have a Logitech controller that can switch to XInput, but was currently set on DirectInput. I'll try it later. Thanks a lot!

Yeah, that was it! It works now. Thanks again! I really wasn't thinking it could have been a hardware setting.

And yeah, the L3/R3 prompts remain, but that's no biggie.
