RTX 4080 GPU USAGE
Am I the only one experiencing GPU usage randomly dropping to around 5% which causes big frame drops ? (going back up to 100 almost instantly).

I'm around 90-100 fps most of the time but these drops kill the immersion and make the game feel kinda laggy combined to camera movement being stuttery (without dropping any frames)..

FYI: Never experienced any crash tho which is cool !

Rig:
- R7 5800X
- 32gb of 3600mhz RAM
- RTX 4080
- M.2 1TB SSD

All temps are normal CPU maxes out at 70 degrees and GPU maxes out at 65 while gaming.

Settings:
- Ultra preset
- No DLSS/FSR
- 3840x1600 Ultrawide
- No V-sync
- Chromatic aberation, Mo-blur, grain and fov all at max

Thank you in advance :)

thats the GPU waiting on instruction from CPU the real stutter you are experiencing could be a lot of things unfortunately. check blurbusters to start with.

Hey first of all thx for your answer !

Even considered cpu usage sits between 10 to 20% ?

What to look for in blurbusters ?

just an overall idea of how to eliminate sync issues. you might be running to high all the time, lowering fps cap could eliminate stutter by freeing up cpu resources. unfortunately that and maybe turning of HAGS is all i can think of for that kind of stutter.

Will try !

Im using RTX 4080 and i dont have any problems with mine. Very stable FPS, i limited to 100 FPS, no fps drops here.
Also have i5 13600KF and 32GB

how can you be taken seriously after writing this? Good HW wasted :)

But seriously I have the same thing happening few times in a row when entering new area. I can only assume it's during heavy asset load that for some reason limits the other pipelines.

Nothing unexpected in my case and it goes away after few steps.

I like the vibe chromatic aberation gives to most games, mo-blur was just left on cuz it was on and tbh I hate grain most of the time but in this game it kinda looks good even tho exaggerated at times x) I like trying to play games like the devs intended but in almost every game I ever played these settings end up disabled lol (they don't drop frames in most games soooo its ok).

Fov is maxed out cuz the game looks zoomed as hell on ultrawide without it !

Yeah happens to me mostly when loading a new area I feel like I'll need to get used to it until it get fixed..

HAGS disabled fixed drops to 5% but there are still drops to around 60-70% whenever I get into a new area now. Game plays a lot better tho so thx for the tip !

CPU usage also dropped to 2-5% so that's cool to temp wise (even tho it doesn't make that big a diff)

Do you use DLSS or FSR ? and how is your average framerate ?

Is there any chance you forgot to turn xmp/docp on and your RAM is running at default 2666Mhz? Can be easily checked in task manager -> performance.

XMP is on and PBO is on too. ReBAR is off tho but I heard it was not worth enabling it (will try tho).

Ok I enabled ReBar and PBO which was set to "auto" but was not used by default in the end.

And all I gotta say is thanks bro the game is now running way better, I still have dips when charging a new area but for the most part the game runs between 75-110 fps on Ultra preset without dlss ! GPU usage is also not dropping anymore except during these area loading moments where the CPU maxes out which is rare !

Thanks y'all for your answers looks like I'll be able to play the game earlier than expected :luv:

same dude... on my end PBO and ReBAR solved most of the gpu usage drops but keeps happening when an area is loading ! We'll need to wait for a fix I guess
